00:00People are happy here. People are very, very excited.

00:03As you can hear behind me, there's lots of cheering, lots of roos.

00:07This is a big victory for the New Popular Front.

00:10They were able to pull together just in the wake of those

00:14European election results.

00:15Just under in four days, they were able to pull together

00:19and come together as a coalition, the socialists, the communists,

00:22the France Unbowed Party and the Greens.

00:25And they've managed to do it in this second round.

00:28They've managed to come out on top.

00:30They were able to pull off this Republican front.

00:34They were able to pull out their candidates

00:38that were in the third place in those three-way races

00:41and were able to keep that vote against the national rally undivided.

00:46And they've succeeded.

00:48It's a massive victory for them.

00:50We've seen flags being waved around.

00:52We've seen fireworks going off.

00:54People here are just very excited.
