The Madani Village Community Committee (JKDM) plays a complementary and value-added role in assisting the community without overlapping with the Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) or the Federal Village Development and Security Committee (JPKKP), the Dewan Rakyat was told on Thursday (July 4).

Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Rubiah Wang explained that while JPKK and JPKKP are responsible for managing and administering villages, JKDM focuses on coordinating socioeconomic and entrepreneurship programmes in those areas.

01:11The issue related to the Sabah issue, the conflict with the ordinance,
01:18is actually to ensure the prosperity of the outskirts of the city,
01:22which is also included in the institution under the common list scenario.
01:29For information that respects the socio-economic and business programs
01:33proposed by the community of Desa Medani,
01:36among them are the existing programs such as entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship empowerment program,
01:43business incentive and development program, promotion and marketing program,
01:48and the community of Desa Medani farm program.
01:53However, the program is not limited to this program.
01:57It depends on the potential needs of the JKDM.

02:28The JKDM will not only provide business and economic programs,

02:49which we can control based on the needs of the time.
