00:00I've already said so much, there's no way for me to go back through all of this.
00:03Let me just say this, that I've explained that when you get born again,
00:09it's not your physical body that gets born again,
00:11it's not your soul, which is your mental, emotional part, your personality part.
00:16That's not the part of you that changes.
00:18You still have the same personality, it's subject to change,
00:21and as you seek the Lord and renew your mind,
00:24you will start seeing changes in your mental, emotional part,
00:28you can see changes in your body,
00:30but you will never see the fullness of your salvation in your physical body
00:36and in your soul until we get to heaven.
00:39And that's the reason that people sing songs about,
00:41like when we all get to heaven, further along we'll understand all,
00:46you know, in the sweet by and by.
00:48Because the average Christian only looks at things
00:51from the physical body and the soulish perspective.
00:55Functionally, most people only think that they are a physical body
01:00and then this inner emotional personality part.
01:03But there is a third part of you, 1 Thessalonians 5, 23,
01:07praise that your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless.
01:13You've got three parts to you, not just the body,
01:16not just the personality inner part, but you've got another part, the spirit,
01:20and that spirit cannot be seen or felt with just your physical five senses.
01:27You have to perceive it through the Word of God.
01:29Jesus said in John 6, 63, the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit.
01:34God's Word shows you spirit things.
01:38And it says in James chapter 1 that the Word of God is like a mirror.
01:42This is a spiritual mirror.
01:44So we're holding up the Word of God and telling you who you are in Christ.
01:49If you have asked Jesus to be your Lord, and if you've given Him that,
01:54and if you've put faith in what Jesus did,
01:56then according to what Jesus said in John chapter 3, you've been born from above.
02:01And 2 Corinthians 5, 17, you are a new creature in Christ.
02:05Old things have passed away.
02:07All things have become new.
02:09That's not true in the physical realm.
02:11It's not true in the mental emotional realm, but it is true in the spirit realm.
02:16And how do you tell what's happened to you in the spirit realm?
02:19You look in the Word.
02:21And so yesterday I was using Ephesians chapter 4, verse 24.
02:25It says, put on the new man which is created in righteousness and true holiness.
02:32You aren't trying to become righteous.
02:35You were created righteous.
02:38It's already a done deal in your spirit.
02:40And it's not a baby righteousness that you've got to get more righteousness and increase.
02:45You are as righteous as Jesus is.
02:48Over in 1 John chapter 4, verse 17, it says,
02:52Herein is our love made perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment,
02:57because as He is, speaking of Jesus, so are we in this world.
03:02It didn't say so are we going to be in a future world in heaven.
03:06So are we in this world.
03:08Again, if you don't understand spirit, soul, and body, you cannot understand that
03:13because you go look in the mirror and I guarantee you this physical body is not like Jesus.
03:17This physical body can't walk through walls, can't appear and disappear.
03:21Jesus did all of those things in His glorified body.
03:24Also, this physical body and mental emotional part does not know everything yet.
03:30So in your body and in your soul, you are not like Jesus is right now.
03:37But 1 John 4, 17 says as Jesus is, so are we in this world.
03:42There's no way you can understand that you are acting perfectly like Jesus,
03:47that you are thinking perfectly like Jesus.
03:49But if you understand that it's your spirit that got born again and the real you is a spirit being,
03:57then you can understand that in your born again spirit, you are identical to Jesus.
04:06Do you know that sounds like blasphemy to the average religious person?
04:11The average religious person believes that their sins are forgiven,
04:16but it won't really have any tangible effect until we get to heaven.
04:22So when we get to heaven, then we're going to receive all of these things.
04:26But right now, the average religious person will just say, I'm an old sinner saved by grace.
04:33And someday when we get to heaven is when salvation is really going to take place.
04:37I will admit this, that when we get to heaven is when you'll get a glorified body
04:42and you won't be subject to the same problems that we have in this physical body.
04:46You're going to get a renewed mind and you'll know all things,
04:50even as also you are known 1 Corinthians chapter 13, and that's going to be awesome.
04:56But right now in your spirit, your spirit is saved right now as it will ever be in eternity.
05:02It's not going to grow. It's not going to increase.
05:05It's not going to have to be given more of the power of the Holy Ghost.
05:08Your spirit is perfect right now because as Jesus is, 1 John 4, 17,
05:14so are we in this world that can't be talking about your body, can't be talking about your soul.
05:20It's got to be talking about your spirit.
05:23Your spirit is as perfect and complete as Jesus is.
05:26Here's another verse that goes along with that is 1 Corinthians chapter 6, verse 17.
05:31He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
05:36And in the Greek, that word for one is HES, H-E-I-S,
05:40and it means a singular one to the exclusion of another.
05:45It's not like saying that we're one in the sense that we're similar,
05:49that we're parallel, like here's God here and here we are down here.
05:53No, it means we are identical, a singular one to the exclusion of another.
06:00Again, you cannot interpret that as talking about that your body is one with the Lord
06:07because your body is still subject to sickness, poverty, hurt, pain.
06:14It's limited, can only be in one place at a time.
06:16It can't go through a wall.
06:17And yet Jesus' glorified body could do all those other things.
06:20It's not talking about your soulish realm because, again,
06:23your soul is subject to depression, discouragement, things.
06:26And in heaven, that's not going to be so.
06:28It says in Isaiah that we won't even remember the former things
06:31and all of this has passed away and that he'll wipe away tears from our eyes.
06:36Your soul and your body are not one with Jesus.
06:41But in the spirit, your spirit is one, a singular one to the exclusion of another.
06:47There is zero difference between your born-again spirit and Jesus
06:53because it is the spirit of Jesus that came in you.
06:57Your born-again spirit is one with Jesus.
07:01And I know somebody's thinking, I can't believe that.
07:04That's because, again, you're looking for this in the mirror.
07:07You're wanting to feel it in your emotions.
07:10But I'm telling you what the mirror of God's Word says.
07:13He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit, a singular one to the exclusion of another.
07:19You are identical.
07:20If there are such things in the spirit world as molecules, atoms, and things like that,
07:26you are atom for atom, molecule for molecule, identical to Jesus.
07:32This gives understanding to John 14, 12, that the works that I do
07:37shall you do also, and greater works.
07:40How could that be?
07:42People think, man, I don't have any power in my hands.
07:45I don't feel like I could do anything.
07:47It's not in your body.
07:48It's not in your soul.
07:49But in your spirit, you've got the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead
07:54because you've got Jesus living on the inside of you in all of his resurrection power.
08:00And if somebody says, well, man, I don't believe I have that.
08:03Well, according to Romans 8, verse 9, if any man have not the Spirit of Christ,
08:08he is none of his.
08:10If you don't have Christ living on the inside of you, then you aren't saved.
08:14You aren't one of his.
08:16And if you are saved, then according to the Scripture, Christ in you, the hope of glory.
08:21Colossians 1, verse 27.
08:23You are complete in him.
08:26He is now living in you and in your spirit realm.
08:29Your salvation is complete.
08:33Man, I just can't tell you what this does for me.
08:37You know, I don't show a lot of emotion.
08:40My staff has actually made, they put my face on data.
08:44That Star Trek character, you know, that had no emotion.
08:48And they call me Android Womack because when bad things happen, I just don't get derailed.
08:54And even when good things happen, I don't run and shout and demonstrate the way some other people do.
08:59And so I've had some people make fun of me and say that I just don't have emotions.
09:05I have emotions.
09:06What I'm saying right now just lights my fire.
09:09But I have to tell you when I'm excited, it's not real obvious to other people.
09:14But I am telling you, this is what changed my life.
09:17When I found out that in the spirit, I was everything I was trying to be.
09:23I already was that in my spirit.
09:26I'm pointing to my belly because in John, chapter seven, the scripture says,
09:30How do your belly shall flow rivers of living water?
09:33And then the writer says this spake he of the spirit, which they that believed upon him would receive.
09:38So the scripture says out of your belly.
09:40I don't know if that's just symbolic or if it's literal.
09:43I don't know.
09:44But anyway, I'm pointing to my belly like this is where the spirit man resides.
09:49Some of you look like you have more of the spirit than other people, but that's not true.
09:54And regardless how big your belly is in the spirit realm, we are all identical.
09:59We were born again and it is Christ living in us.
10:03And in the spirit, you are identical to Jesus.
10:06You have his mind.
10:08You have his will.
10:09You have his understanding.
10:11You have his anointing.
10:12You have all of the power and the anointing of the of God.
10:16You've got the wisdom of God in the spirit realm.
10:19You've got everything.
10:21The Christian life isn't approaching God and asking God for more.
10:26The Christian life is finding out that in the spirit you've already got.
10:30And it's renewing your mind and it's drawing out what you already have instead of trying to go get something that you don't have.
10:38That's huge.
10:39What I just said.
10:40And the body of Christ as a whole, they believe God for salvation.
10:46They believe their sins are forgiven, but they don't believe that there's really very much difference until we get to heaven.
10:54They are just an old sinner saved by grace and they're just muddling through this world.
11:00And when they get to heaven, what a day that's going to be.
11:04But the truth is that I'm not an old sinner saved by grace.
11:09I was an old sinner and I got saved by grace and I became a brand new creature in Christ Jesus.
11:17And in the spirit realm, I am not a sinner anymore.
11:21I am the righteousness of God.
11:23Now, I've still got a body that was corrupted by sin.
11:26I've still got a mind that was corrupted by sin.
11:29And so I'm in the process of renewing my mind and bringing my body into subjection to what God has done.
11:36And so there is a warfare and there is a growth taking place in my physical body, in my actions and in my mental, emotional thinking.
11:44But in the spirit realm, I am as perfect right now as I'll ever be.
11:49I'm as perfect right now as Jesus is, because as he is, so am I in this world.
11:56He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
12:00I'm identical to him in the spirit.
12:02I'm not saying that because I've obtained it, because I'd earned it.
12:06I deserve it.
12:07No, it's a gift.
12:08When I get born again, I became a new creature in Christ Jesus.
12:14Old things passed away and all things became new.
12:18And so now I'm not trying to earn God's favor.
12:21Jesus earned God's favor for me.
12:24And when I made him my Lord, I was created in him in righteousness and true holiness.
12:30God is a spirit.
12:31John chapter 4 verse 24.
12:33And those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
12:37And so because I receive this righteousness in my born again spirit and I'm as pure and as holy as Jesus is,
12:45he that's joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
12:47Now I can approach God in spirit and in truth.
12:51That's what he said.
12:52You must worship him in spirit and in truth.
12:55When you come before God and you say, oh, God, we're so unworthy.
12:59We come before you and we're so unworthy.
13:01We don't deserve anything.
13:02You know what you're doing?
13:03You're approaching God in the flesh.
13:05You aren't worshiping him in spirit and in truth.
13:09Am I denying that in the flesh you are unworthy?
13:13No, I'm unworthy in my flesh, but I'm not worshiping him in my flesh.
13:17I come before him in spirit and I can come boldly under the throne of grace.
13:22Hebrews chapter 4, I believe it's verse 16.
13:25Let us come boldly under the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, not justice,
13:30mercy and grace to help in the time of need.
13:34Not just when you've done everything perfectly, but in the time of need.
13:39You come.
13:40You come before him in spirit and in truth.
13:43And if you are worshiping God in spirit and truth, you can come boldly into the presence of God
13:48because you are approaching God on the basis of what Jesus has done through the spirit,
13:54that born again spirit that has been made like unto Jesus.
13:59And what I'm saying here is radically different than the way I was brought up.
14:04And most people that I deal with, religion taught them about all of their mistakes, their sin.
14:10It made them sin conscious and they approach God kind of like a whip dog.
14:16You know, when the Lord first started showing me these things, I got a glimpse of this.
14:20But I honestly, it took me years to get to where I could say some of the things that I've said on today's program.
14:27I could see it at a distance, but I couldn't embrace it because I was just so condemned.
14:34I was so conscious of my failures and my unworthiness that I just couldn't embrace it.
14:40It took a while to renew my mind.
14:42It was a process.
14:44And did you know, I remember one time.
14:46It's a long story.
14:47I won't go into the whole thing, but I spent an entire week fasting and praying and looking up every scripture that I could find on righteousness.
14:56I use the word righteousness.
14:58Righteousness says and stuff.
15:01And I just looked up every scripture in the Bible.
15:03And anyway, without going into great detail, some scriptures in Romans chapter five just made it very clear that in the same way I accepted that I was born a sinner.
15:14When I got born again, I had to accept that I was born righteous in the same way that I became a sinner through what Adam did, not through what I did, but through what Adam did.
15:25It was just I inherited it by being born.
15:28When I got born again, I became righteous, not through what I did, but through what Jesus did for me.
15:34If I was going to accept that I was a sinner through Adam, I had to accept that I was righteous through Jesus.
15:40It's like a coin.
15:41If you're going to accept one side of that coin, well, then the flip side is also true.
15:45And I had been grounded in the fact that I was born a sinner and that I fell short and that all it comes short of the glory of God.
15:53That's talking about my physical body and my mental emotional part.
15:57And I had accepted that.
15:58But it was hard for me to accept that my born again spirit was truly righteous and truly holy.
16:06And I finally just had to come to grips.
16:08And so I saw it.
16:10I understood it.
16:12But man, it was hard for me to emotionally embrace it.
16:16And I remember after I had been fasting for a week and studying these scriptures, I just this is before I was married.
16:23And I walked out in our backyard and sat on this back porch that we had.
16:27And I had this dog that I had gotten from my mother when I was drafted and sent into the army.
16:34And it was a watchdog.
16:35It was a three force German shepherd and one force chow.
16:38It was a big dog and it had this golden fur on it.
16:43I called the dog Honey and because it looked like Honey was the color of this dog.
16:48And anyway, this dog, we got it from a friend.
16:50He gave it to me.
16:51And this somebody had beat this dog with a trace chain before I got it.
16:56And because of those past experiences that this dog had been through, it would come running to me.
17:03It was this big dog and it would just come running across the yard.
17:06But when it got five or six feet away, it would stop and roll over on its side and scoot up towards you, afraid that it was going to be hit.
17:16And this, you know, I got this dog for my mother when I went to Vietnam.
17:19So this was like two years after we had had this dog.
17:22I was back in the States.
17:23God had shown me these things and I was just having trouble seeing myself righteous.
17:29I had seen myself as a sinner for so long.
17:32I was struggling with it.
17:34And I sat down on the porch and here comes this dog and it gets a few feet away and it rolls over and whimpers and starts scooting up to me.
17:41And I lost my temper at this dog.
17:45And I just got mad.
17:48And it's hard to get mad at your dog when his name is Honey.
17:51And so I said, Honey, just one time I would like you to come and run up and jump on me like a natural dog would.
17:58I said, people think I beat you.
18:00They think I'm the one that beat you.
18:02I said, I've never treated you wrong.
18:03I've never done these things.
18:05And I was just reading this dog the riot act about one time.
18:09I'd like you to act like I'm not going to beat you.
18:11And as I was saying all of this stuff to my dog, the Lord spoke to me and he said, Andrew, that's the way I feel about you.
18:19One time I would like you to come boldly into the throne room like I have forgiven you and like you are the righteousness of God.
18:28And that you have already been forgiven and that you wouldn't come in talking about how ungodly you are and roll over on your side and whimper and say, oh, God, I'm so unworthy.
18:39Says that's approaching me in the flesh.
18:41It's not approaching me in the spirit.
18:43And I tell you, that was a graphic illustration to me.
18:46Hopefully you can relate to what I'm saying.
18:49But there are some of you that honestly, when you approach God, all you do is start talking about how little you deserve everything.
18:57And I'm not arguing with that.
18:59You don't deserve it.
19:00But you aren't approaching him through the spirit.
19:02If you've been born again, you're a new person in the spirit.
19:05And in the spirit, you are righteous.
19:07And God doesn't see you as a sinner anymore.
19:10You were an old sinner, but you got saved by grace.
19:13And now you are the righteousness of God.
19:16And you need to come boldly before the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need.
19:25You don't need to come in talking about how ungodly you are.
19:29I heard Kenneth Copeland one time say, if you feel like a little gnat compared to God,
19:35when you come before him and you just start talking about how small and insignificant you are,
19:40then change your approach.
19:42And instead of talking about how sorry and how insignificant you are,
19:46talk about how awesome God is and talk about how wonderful he is to love somebody as insignificant as you.
19:54Amen. Change the emphasis to where instead of amplifying your failures,
19:59you amplify what God has done for you and you approach him in spirit and in truth.
20:04And you go to worshiping God because of who he's made you.
20:09I tell you, this is awesome.
20:11This has literally changed my whole outlook on life.
20:15And because of it, I have believed God, not because I deserve it, not because I'm good or anything.
20:22I have gone to where I relate to God on the basis of who he is.
20:26And when I see failure in myself, it's easier to deal with because I'm not deceived,
20:32thinking, oh, I've grown and now I'm really somebody special.
20:35I know that in myself, I'm still nothing.
20:39You know what? I wasn't just nothing when God found me.
20:42I'm still nothing outside of God.
20:45The only good thing in me is God.
20:47And to the degree that I'm submitted unto him and yielded to him,
20:51then I am glad and proud of what God has done in my life.
20:55But if you were to take God away and just look at me, I'm still nothing without Christ.
21:01And so I can deal with it when I see problems in my life.
