The Bulls' hope had been that guard Zach LaVine would rehab his right foot injury in the middle of last season, but he and his agency decided he would undergo surgery.

00:09when Clutch Sports and Zach Levine opted to have surgery.

00:13And the Bulls made that very clear in the press release,

00:16if you remember, that this is Zach Levine and Clutch Sports

00:19opting to have the surgery.

00:21They felt they could rehab it and get him back on the court.

00:25And they were hoping that other teams would,

00:27when they gave them a physical, would see that as well.

00:32That really was a slap in the face of that relationship

00:35and why the Bulls are where they are right now

00:38with the whole Zach and obviously not

00:42pulling the trigger because bosses kind of handcuffed him.
