00:21STSS is common in the Philippines and it is usually affected by people with diabetes and other comorbidities.
00:29It starts with an injury and can be a mild skin infection that enters the bloodstream.
00:36The percentage of people who die from STSS is high because it spreads quickly
00:40and most of the time, the initial symptoms are not immediately noticed.
00:44There is a medicine for this.
00:46What's important is to see a doctor immediately for a prescription.
00:50STSS is not considered a public health concern by the DOH.
