Central Asian countries such as the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan regarded Malaysia as an exemplary model of an Islamic country, the Dewan Rakyat was told on Thursday (June 27).

00:00On 13, 12, 13, 14 of May, the Prime Minister has been in Qatar to attend and be a guest
00:13of honor to the Qatar Emeritus, to attend what is called the Qatar Economic Forum in Qatar.
00:23He has been in Qatar for a while to welcome the three presidents of the Central Asia Republic
00:33with his permission, that is, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadr Zafarov, President of Kazakhstan,
00:40Kasim Jomat Tokayev, and President Shaukat Mirzoyoyev of Uzbekistan.
00:46He has been in Qatar for a while to welcome the leaders of our country to visit their country.
00:55The emissaries of these countries, their foreign ministers, have also come to Malaysia to welcome
01:02their own presidents.
01:05Therefore, when they are in Qatar, the honorable Prime Minister has also gone there.
01:12Honorable President, the countries in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan are independent countries
01:21from the communist regime of the Soviet Union in 1992.
01:28They are independent, and they are now an independent country, but they are still practicing a system
01:36that is heavily influenced by the Soviet Union era.
01:40So, the arrival of the honorable Prime Minister there was welcomed well.
01:44And the relationship between the two countries, or Malaysia and Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia and Kazakhstan,
01:51Malaysia and Uzbekistan, has indeed existed for a long time.
01:56And our honorable Prime Minister has visited these countries before,
02:04in 2015, in Kazakhstan in 1995, and also in 1999.
02:11So, during the visit, the honorable Prime Minister has made various suggestions,
02:17various bilateral discussions that have been held.
02:21I, with my colleagues, the Minister of Trade and Investment, with my colleagues,
02:29and also the Minister of Tourism, as well as the Minister of Education,
02:35the Ministry of Higher Education, together to discuss more about what can be done
02:44to improve bilateral relations and also the potential to improve trade and investment
02:52between these two countries.
02:54We, with Kyrgyzstan, with Kazakhstan, and also with Uzbekistan,
03:02all of this is our responsibility.
03:05We export a lot of goods to Kyrgyzstan, to Kazakhstan, and also to Uzbekistan,
03:11Honorable Prime Minister.
03:12They import a lot of our goods, and these three countries are,
03:19if you want to look at it in detail, Honorable Prime Minister,
03:23they can be our door to open up even bigger areas in Central Asia.
03:32Our businessmen need to actively go there, Honorable Prime Minister,
03:39because these countries are rich in raw materials.
03:42And they have, a lot of them have come,
03:45but they do not want to be limited to only one side.
03:49They invite us, they invite our businessmen,
03:54especially those who have the skills and ability to become a company
04:02that can export a lot of raw materials,
04:07they have a large number, Honorable Prime Minister,
04:09and can export in that area.
04:12So, this is an opportunity for our country,
04:16to increase our trade with these countries,
04:20and also for our businessmen to go there
04:25and become exporters to many countries,
