00:07Well, today let's put the spotlight on women's health.
00:10As they say, a happy woman means healthier and stronger community.
00:14Let's celebrate this very special day by making a healthy and nutritious recipe
00:19called Lentils Pie with Sweet Potato Mash using cookware from Thin Kitchen.
00:24Let's begin.
00:31Well, trust me when I say, this recipe is extremely simple.
00:35What I'm going to do is use lots of lentils, lots of potatoes which means
00:40and not just any potatoes, sweet potatoes.
00:43Which means the recipe is loaded with the power of vitamins, proteins and lots of fibre.
00:49Of course, you can change the vegetables, you can add in more, reduce choices, completely yours.
00:53But this is my select collection for today.
00:56And for sautéing our ingredients and making a hearty lentil preparation,
00:59I'm going to use my master class Sky Blue Casserole Dish from Thin Kitchen.
01:04This is built from high quality cast Aluminium which absorbs heat quickly
01:07and distributes it evenly throughout which makes cooking faster.
01:11Let's begin with a touch of Oil.
01:14And to this, immediately I'm going to add in sliced Red Onions.
01:22Let's sauté this and allow this to turn translucent on medium flame.
01:26While this is happening, let's quickly start cutting some Carrots.
01:34Let's slide in these Carrots along with these some French Beans.
01:39Now it's extremely important to understand the importance of a healthy diet.
01:44Now you need to use ingredients that are of course healthy,
01:47which have lots of fibre, lots of vitamins, lots of proteins.
01:50Carbohydrates can be kind of avoided if you're the kinds.
01:54But otherwise, it's extremely important to use ingredients of your choice.
01:58Something that's regionally, locally available to add to the fun and merry of making a healthy, nutritious recipe.
02:05Now while I'm talking all of this, let me also introduce you with the master class casserole
02:10in which I'm going to blanch the sweet potatoes for the mash that goes right on top.
02:16Let's add in water, just enough for the sweet potatoes to cook completely well.
02:22Let's cover this and allow this to cook for around 15 minutes and move back to our Lentils.
02:34Let's add in some herbs of choice, in this case I'm adding in some Thyme.
02:39And along with this, a touch of Salt.
02:41Let's stir this well and allow the vegetables to cook to the doneness that you prefer.
02:48Finally to this, let's add in some blanched Peas, Beans and Lentils.
02:54Let's mix this well and allow this to stew for a couple of minutes.
03:00Our Lentil stew is done and ready, with this off goes the flame.
03:04Let's also quickly check the sweet potatoes.
03:11Our sweet potatoes are perfectly cooked, let's now move on to the mashing.
03:15But before that, let me tell you a little more about this dish.

03:42And for this, I'm using my Joseph Joseph Delta Folding Masher,
03:46which can be perfectly neatly folded after use.
03:49Also, it's made using durable nylon mashing plate,
03:53designed to fit every curved pan edge,
03:55which means most sweet potatoes are mashed with each plunge.
04:01Once the sweet potato is mashed, time to add in a touch of Salt,
04:05along with this Milk.
04:10Let's turn the flame on, mix this and cook this well.
04:20Our mashed sweet potatoes are done and ready.
04:22And with this, off goes the flame.
04:24Time to now assemble the lentil stew,
04:27and top it up with the sweet potato mash.
04:29Let's do that.

04:49Well, eventually, you can also make such patterns, some designs,
04:53or pipe this as per your wish.
04:56Time to now bake this at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
