00:00Civilians in two cities have found themselves victims of attacks as Russia and Ukraine exchange

00:11fire.

00:14Russian forces have launched a bomb attack on the Kharkiv region, hitting civilian infrastructure.

00:20As of 5pm, at least one person is known to be killed and 11 people injured.

00:27Moscow has recently intensified attacks against Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, with

00:32the use of missiles, glide bombs and drones, destroying energy infrastructure and killing

00:38civilians.

00:40The attack marks the second time this weekend Russia has attacked Kharkiv with glide bombs.

00:46Elsewhere, five people, including two children, were killed by falling debris when five Ukrainian

00:53missiles were shot down in Sevastopol, a port city in Russian-annexed Crimea.

00:59Russian state news agency RIA Novosti said 124 people were wounded, citing the health

01:06ministry.

01:08Monday was declared a day of mourning in the city, with public events cancelled.

01:19Protesters demanding that the government resigns were met with a heavy police presence

01:23in Tel Aviv.

01:24A few scuffles broke out and some of the protesters were pushed back, whilst others were carried

01:29away.

01:30There's anger across Israel at the government's handling of the war in Gaza and the hostage

01:35crisis.

01:36The government estimates 116 hostages are still in Gaza, 40 of them presumed to have

01:41died and around 80 who are believed to still be alive.

01:45Meanwhile, Israel has killed over 37,000 people in Gaza, most of them women and children.

01:54As Pride Month continues across Europe, 10,000 people have taken part in a colourful parade

02:03Traditionally a protest event, participants voiced their demands, which included the extension

02:08of anti-hate speech law to fully protect the LGBTQ plus community, marriage and civil union

02:14as a right of every citizen and safeguarding the rights of children raised in same-sex

02:19relationships.

02:21Poland also joined a diplomatic declaration, alongside 35 embassies and several cultural

02:27institutes in Budapest, against politically motivated targeting of members of the LGBTQ

02:33plus community.

02:35It comes as Budapest held its Pride Parade in the city centre for the 29th time.

02:44An hour's long power outage hit the Balkans on Friday, plunging the region into darkness.

02:51It comes off the back of an early June heatwave that saw temperatures climb to a sizzling

02:5640 degrees.

02:57Croatian officials blamed faulty energy infrastructure between Greece and Albania for the blackouts.

03:03I would not like to be exposed to information, but it is preliminary that there was a long

03:09blackout between Greece and Albania and that the flows changed, but it is still a sphere

03:16of harassment and unverified information.

03:19Bosnia's state power company said the outage was caused by problems in a regional distribution

03:24line, while Albania's state power company said extreme heat caused the problem.

03:29Montenegrin officials said the increased daily load, compounded by high temperatures, led

03:34to the outages.

03:35It is simply not possible and it is not necessary to turn on the power just because it was a

03:42big attack on the distribution network.

03:44So I have to be careful, I ask the citizens to be patient.

03:48These are emergency situations that are common, that happen not so often, of course, in the

03:53power system, but something that cannot be excluded.

03:57The energy infrastructure collapse led to businesses shuttering, traffic gridlock and

04:02imposed emergency safety measures.

04:05Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Albania have shared interconnected power grids since 1990.
