Pill testing to be trialled in Victoria

The Premier of Victoria Jacinta Allan has announced that pill testing will be trialled in Victoria this summer.

00:06this year than during all of last year.

00:08And I've been speaking to other parents about this too.

00:12One of them put it simply, young people are smart and they want information.

00:16If their kids get handed a pill at a festival, they want a medical professional who can tell

00:22them exactly what it is and exactly what it does without telling them it's safe.

00:35That's how we change young people's behaviour and even reduce drug use.

00:40And that's all pill testing is about.

00:42It doesn't make pills legal, but it does keep people safe.

00:46It exists around the world and the evidence says it works.
