Here’s a moral story involving an ant and a sparrow:
Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a hardworking ant and a kind-hearted sparrow. Every day, the ant would tirelessly gather food, preparing for the cold winter. The sparrow, on the other hand, would flit about, singing songs and enjoying the warmth of the sun.
One day, as the ant was carrying a grain of wheat back to its home, it came across the sparrow perched on a branch. The sparrow noticed the ant's heavy load and felt a surge of pity.
"Why do you work so hard, little ant?" the sparrow asked. "Look at me! I spend my days singing and flying freely. Why don't you relax and enjoy life a little?"
The ant paused and looked up at the sparrow. "I work hard now so that I can be comfortable during the winter when food is scarce. It may seem like I'm missing out on fun, but I know the importance of being prepared."
The sparrow thought for a moment but quickly shrugged it off, continuing to enjoy its carefree life.
As time passed, winter arrived. The once abundant forest was now covered in snow, and food was difficult to find. The sparrow, who had spent its days idly, struggled to find something to eat. Weak and hungry, it flew to the ant’s nest.
"Please, dear ant, could you spare some food? I didn't prepare for winter, and now I am starving," the sparrow pleaded.
The ant, though small, was wise and discreet. It thought for a moment before speaking. "I will help you, sparrow, but remember this: it's important to think ahead and prepare for the future. Enjoying life is good, but not at the expense of your well-being."
The ant shared its food with the sparrow, saving it from hunger. The sparrow was grateful and vowed never to ignore the importance of preparation again.
