00:00The government is also delivering various services to other sectors in Surigao del Sur.
00:06This is under the new Philippine Service Fair.
00:09Mela Lesmora is in the center of the news live.
00:15The government will give almost Php 600 million worth of assistance, services and programs
00:21to Surigao del Sur under the new Philippine Service Fair
00:28that will be held in the province tomorrow, June 21.
00:32In the final coordination meeting of the new Philippine Service Fair,
00:37the National Secretary and the local government
00:40and various participating national government agencies
00:44have already provided the authorities with the details and process
00:48for the new Philippine Service Fair here in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.
00:54House Speaker Martin Romualdez will lead the BPSF launching
00:59in accordance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order.
01:03According to the new Philippine Service Fair,
01:06the government will provide various assistance, services and programs to the people.
01:12According to the BPSF National Secretary,
01:15the total amount of services and programs
01:20that will be provided by the administration in the province
01:25and expected to benefit 90,000 beneficiaries will be Php 600 million.
01:30In our interview with BPSF Surigao del Sur Ground Command Coordinator Bong Pimentel,
01:36he said that they are ready for the activity.
01:39This is a big help to their fellow countrymen,
01:42especially the government's other services.
01:45People from faraway places have sent them.
01:49But it's a two-day program.
01:51Even after the 21st, there's still the 22nd,
01:54our beneficiaries will still be available.
01:57And don't forget, we have what we call the Pagkakaisa Concert
02:02because our method is truly Pagkakaisa
02:06in the true development of our country.
02:09We're so ready and happy to have our Surigao constituents
02:13enjoy the benefit of a whole-of-society and whole-of-government approach
02:17to bringing government services in multiple levels
02:22down to the doorsteps of Bislig City and the entire province of Surigao del Sur.
02:28Audrey, for our countrymen to know how important this BPSF that will be launched in the region is,
02:35just like the passport collection service,
02:39do you know, Audrey, that in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur,
02:45there's no DFA office where they can get a passport.
02:49So the residents here are still traveling to Butuan City,
02:53which is 3-4 hours away.
02:55Just kidding, Audrey, they'll be traveling for 3-4 hours to get a passport.
02:59But because of the new Philippine BPSF,
03:02they'll be coming here.
03:04Not just passports, but almost all government programs and services
03:10can be obtained here.
03:12That's why President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised that
03:20they want to bring government programs closer to our countrymen.
03:24So that's it, Audrey.
03:25That's one example.
03:26The passport that they used to travel for 3-4 hours
03:29can be obtained tomorrow.
03:31Until Saturday, the new Philippine BPSF can be obtained.
03:35The residents will be coming here to the venue
03:38and they won't be traveling for a few hours to get it.
03:42That's just one example, Audrey.
03:43And there are many other services.
03:45That's why the invitation of the local government,
03:49not just Surigao del Sur, but other provinces nearby,
03:53can also be obtained here, Audrey.
03:56I hope our countrymen will take advantage of this opportunity.
04:00Thank you very much.
04:01Melales Moras.
