00:00We held a forum, a leadership summit in Sydney and there was a lot of naysayers when we proposed
00:06this idea.
00:07Why would you be doing that?
00:09That's not the way we do things in the public service.
00:12That's not the way we do things in the Basin.
00:13That's not the role of the MDBA.
00:14A lot of people said no, a lot of people said we can't do that, we shouldn't do that.
00:20But the process of bringing together so many leaders across the Basin, that in itself was
00:25the purpose.
00:26That in itself was the goal.
00:28And it was a great opportunity to set aside some of the antagonism and the polarisation
00:33of views around what it means to achieve a healthy Basin and sustainable industries and
00:38healthy communities.
00:39It was a really great process to ensure that we had an open, constructive and a collaborative
00:44conversation that reflected the diversity of views.
