00:18In Phase 1 and 2 of the construction of the new Senate building in Taguig,
00:23the contractor is Hillmarks Construction Corporation.
00:27But if the contract for Phase 1 goes through competitive public bidding,
00:31the contract for Phase 2 is negotiated procurement or no bidding.
00:37This is the way the Senate chose to follow the timeline,
00:41to have better coordination, and to ensure responsibility and responsibility
00:48if there is only one candidate for Phase 1 and 2 of the project.
00:52DPWS Secretary Manuel Bonoan, for the Government,
00:58and Hillmarks Chairman of the Board Efren Canlas, for the Contractor,

02:18The glass fiber-reinforced concrete cladding panels cost almost 87 million pesos,
02:24worth almost 58,000 pesos per square meter.
02:28The new Senate will also approve six types of decorative stone
02:33worth 10 million pesos.
02:36The most expensive of these is the 57-piece Calacatta Silk Marble
02:42worth almost 54,000 pesos per square meter.
02:46The generator cost almost 262 million pesos,
02:51and almost 119 million pesos for the lighting fixtures and lamps.
02:56For the mechanical works,
02:58it will cost almost 116 million pesos for the elevator and escalator,
03:03and more than 62 million pesos for the air-conditioning.
03:07The provisional sum of 75 million pesos will also be added
03:11in case the amount or value of the items changes
03:14due to the long period of time from the design to the actual start of the project.
03:20In the Senate's review of the cost of the house,
03:24it was revealed that Phase 1 of the project is now worth 8.9 billion pesos.
03:30The contract for Phase 2 is now worth 2.375 billion pesos,
03:36while the budget for Phase 3 is now worth 10.33 billion pesos.
03:42This is not included in the purchase of the land
03:45where the house is being built in Navy Village, Taguig,
03:48which is now worth 1.649 billion pesos.
03:52The sum total for now is now worth 23.254 billion pesos.
03:57According to the DPWH,
03:59Phase 4 is still possible for the consideration of the security of the Senators.
04:04There is still no value given for this.
