Mas paiigtingin ng Philippine Coast Guard ang pagpa-patrolya sa dagat ngayong epektibo na ang banta ng China na panghuhuli sa mga mangingisdang papasok sa ilang bahagi ng South China Sea. Pina-alalahanan din nila ang mga mangingisdang mag-ingat tuwing papalaot.
