The first day's dress code was 'Express Yourself'. Naturally, we had dazzling outfits that screamed 'This is me!' throughout the night. It's safe to say we had all kinds of expressions on and off stage. The highlight of the night was MASSTOR, dressed up as a MASSive blue demon (see 0:34), and everyone had their eyes on him. The hosts for the night were Bianca Radoslav (instagram: @bianca.radoslav) and Gus Gunnarson (instagram: @gunnbjorngunnarsson). The categories that were screened were: Best Animation, Best VFX, Best Art Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Performer. This year is the 12th edition of the Berlin Music Videos! We are an independent festival, with no government funds or big industry sponsors. We started out small back in 2013, and today we are proud to be an internationally acclaimed festival that celebrates filmmakers and the art behind music videos. Budget, label and big names are not a determining factors when we choose our nominees. This year, we screened 140 music videos from both up and coming and established creatives. We would like to give a big thank you to Gretchen for giving us their space and for being a long time partner to this festival, as well as to Ballantines for providing a bottle of their finest scotch to every winner. Feel free to check out the rest of our videos. Submissions are open so submit your music video for a chance to be next year's winner!
