00:00A woman has filed an application at the Penang High Court to quash three asset declaration
00:06notices issued by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
00:10Josephine Premlasivaretnam, 69, also denied having any links to former Finance Minister
00:15Dayan Zainuddin.
00:16She said the anti-graft agency's notices were issued in February, March and April this
00:21year under Section 36 Sub 1B of the MACC Act 2009.
00:26Josephine said the notices were illegal, irrational, and tainted with procedural impropriety.
00:32In an affidavit in support, Josephine said the notices claimed that, as Dayan's associate,
00:37she might be able to assist in the investigation into the former minister.
00:41However, she denied being Dayan's nominee, employee, trustee, or someone who had managed
00:47his business affairs.
00:49On January 29, Dayan was charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court for failing to comply
00:54with an MACC notice requiring a declaration of assets.
