00:28federal gun possession charges, the first criminal conviction against the son of a sitting president.
00:36The revolutionary forces in Venezuela rallied to follow up on what they have called the
00:42one-time stand electoral strategy and to express their support to President Nicolás Maduro.
00:49Hello, welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the TELESUR headquarters in Caracas,
00:57Venezuela.
00:58We'll be with the news.
00:59Stay with us.
01:00Political leaders who attend in Jordan the call for the action of urgent humanitarian
01:21response for Gaza conference call on Israel to cease fire in the occupied territories.
01:27During the meeting, the United Nations humanitarian coordinator Martin Griffin described the Israeli
01:31attack on Gaza as a disgrace to humanity and asked to raise 2.5 billion dollars to meet
01:39the need of the people in Gaza.
01:41There's a need for a robust mechanism for coordination that engages all parties on the
01:50ground.
01:52Effective and comprehensive deconfliction between the actors on the ground is key to
01:59ensure aid agencies can act, organize and perform their duties safely, sufficiently
02:08and sustainably.
02:09Second, the land corridor is the most effective method for aid to flow into Gaza.
02:17International resources are critically needed to undertake this urgent endeavor.
02:24We must be ready now to deploy a sufficient number of trucks to deliver aid on a daily
02:31basis.
02:32Hundreds of trucks are needed within Gaza.
02:37During the summit, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, warned that the current
02:43crisis in the Gaza Strip is Caspar Israel's wars of revenge against the Gazan civilian.
02:50Responsibility for the unprecedented humanitarian crisis that the Gaza Strip is experiencing
02:56lies squarely with the Israeli side, and it is the deliberate product of a destructive
03:00war of revenge against the Gaza Strip, its people, its infrastructure, and its medical
03:05system, in which the weapons of starvation and siege are used to make the Gaza Strip
03:10unlivable and forcibly displace its population from their lands without the slightest doubt,
03:15concern or respect for international conventions.
03:20Palestinian President Mohamed Abbas knows that the UN Security Council and the international
03:25community continue to pressure Israel to open all land crossing to Gaza.
03:33The responsibility of the Security Council and all parties of the international community
03:37remains great in pressuring Israel to open all land crossings to the Gaza Strip and hand
03:46them over to the new government, to bring in all relief and medical materials, shelter
03:55supplies and equipment, and basic services.
04:02Above all, and before all of that, we must continue to make efforts for an immediate
04:06and permanent ceasefire and the withdrawal of all Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
04:13In his speech, UN Secretary-General António Guterres urged the leaders participating in
04:19the summit to respect the establishment agreements, which include facilitating the delivery of
04:24humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
04:27The peace initiative recently outlined by President Biden and urge all parties to seize
04:33this opportunity and come to an agreement.
04:38And I call on all parties to respect their obligations and their international humanitarian
04:42law.
04:44This includes facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid both into and inside Gaza
04:50as they have committed.
04:53All available routes into Gaza must be operational.
04:59And the land routes are absolutely crucial.
05:04And in the framework of the emergency aid conference in Jordan, the United States Secretary
05:08of State Antony Blinken announced that his government will increase the amount of economic
05:13aid to Palestine.
05:15Today, I'm announcing an additional $404 million in new aid to Palestinians in addition to
05:23the more than $1.8 billion in development, economic and humanitarian aid that the United
05:27States has provided since 2021.
05:29Also in Palestine, human rights organizations denounced a high rate in which Israel is murdering
05:36Palestinians since October 7 out loud against the Gaza Strip.
05:40According to data gathered by the organization's Zionist regime, the killing rate has ascended
05:45to 2,000 Palestinians per month.
05:48Especially 3,163 Palestinians were killed in February, 2,790 in March, 1,788 in April
05:57and 1,780 in May.
06:00Furthermore, in the period from June 4 to 9 this year, 605 murders were recorded with
06:08the highest number of deaths being reported after the Nusrat Khan massacre in which 283
06:14people were killed and 816 injured.
06:18The concerning data are evidence that ongoing genocide in Israel is perpetrated against
06:23the Gazan people.

06:44Welcome back to From the South.
06:51On Monday in the United States, the 12-member jury found Hunter Biden guilty of three federal
06:58gun possession charges, the first criminal conviction against the son of a sitting president.
07:04President Joe Biden's son was convicted in other world court after nearly three hours
07:11of deliberations regarding the three felony counts that alleged him lied about his illicit
07:17drug use when obtaining a firearm in 2018, then illegally possessed it for 11 days.
07:24In the trial, which lasted for over a week, his crack addiction came to light and at the
07:30closing of the arguments staged on Sunday, prosecutors argued that Hunter Biden's drug
07:36use began years before the gun acquisition and continued for a month afterwards.
07:51On the other hand, in the state of New York, witnesses for the prosecution testified about
07:55a case of bribery accepted by Democratic Senator Bob Menendez.
07:59Jose Uribe, a New York City businessman, testified that in 2019 he spoke with the senator about
08:05an investigation that was threatening his business.
08:08According to Uribe, after this conversation, the senator assured that he had saved him.
08:23And moving on in Russia, within the framework of the BRICS foreign ministers meeting, the
08:27Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov stated that the group is promoting changes in the
08:35international scene for the construction of a multipolar world.
08:49Lavrov described BRICS approaches as a historical process for promoting equality to build a
08:54more just future.
08:55He also stated that the principles of egalitarian cooperation have also been reflected and materialized
09:02in other organizations and forums of the world in which work is being done for global
09:08economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic and to fulfill objectives based on sustainable
09:13development.
09:21And now in Malawi, it was confirmed the death of Vice President Saulo Chulima and nine other
09:26people after a military plane carrying them crashed at Mzuzu International Airport in
09:32the north of the country.
09:34After a search operation for the plane missing since Monday, the president of Malawi, Lazarus
09:39Ochoawera, confirmed that the aircraft was found totally destroyed and with no survivors
09:45in the vicinity of the Chikagwawa forest.
09:49In a message to the nation, the president expressed his condolences to the country,
09:52especially to the families of the victims and mourned the losses of the officials and
09:57called the event a terrible tragedy for the state.
10:00The local media state that it is presumed that a pilot was unable to land due to bad
10:06weather conditions and a fog in the area.
10:15Let's see some reactions of the citizens of Malawi after the death of Vice President Saulo
10:20Chulima and his companions.
10:23In every nation, you know, we always have leaders who are also like parents, not to
10:29one person, not to two, but to many communities.
10:33So it is sad.
10:35It is sad.
10:36I know that it is written in the word of God that there is time for everything.
10:42But I would say it is really a sad moment for us.
10:46And it is my prayer that God will see us through at such a time.
10:50As the European party, we're able to trace all the flights which were landing in Malawi,
10:55but also taking off from Malawi.
10:58But we are now scared.
10:59Why not this one?
11:00We are failing to trace it.
11:02And Kikangawa is known by everybody.
11:05And even those who are supposed to be there, they know it.
11:08And they were supposed to trace all those.
11:11So as a party, we are looking forward to see to it that the transponder, which was supposed
11:17to be in this plane, where is it?
11:19Why is it that we are failing to trace it?
11:25In this context, several world leaders have sent their condolences to the people of Malawi
11:29and to the families of the victims.
11:31The president of the African Union Commission, Mosul Fakir Muhammad, in a communique expressed
11:37his sadness at the news that the shared rescue mission for survivors of the plane crash was
11:42unsuccessful and expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims as well as
11:47to the government and the people of that African nation.
11:50Likewise, the president of Angola, Joao Lorenzo, sent his condolences to the president of Malawi
11:55on the death of Vice President Saulo Chulima.
11:58For his part, the foreign minister of Venezuela, Ivan Gil, sent his most sincere condolences
12:03to the government of Malawi for the tragic plane crash.
12:06The cause of the accidents are still unknown.
12:08The South Korean army accuses North Korea's soldiers of violating a border line between
12:20the two territories.
12:21According to South Korean authorities, on Tuesday, some North Korean troops were working
12:26in the demilitarized zone across the military demographic line.
12:31Reports say the South Korean forces fired warning shots at the North Korean military
12:37who turned to the North.
13:08Welcome back.
13:11The revolutionary forces in Venezuela rallied to follow up on what they have called the
13:16one times ten electoral strategy and to express their support to President Nicolás Maduro.
13:22Hundreds of people in the municipality of Santiago Marinho of the state of Nicaragua
13:26took to the streets to support President Nicolás Maduro and his initiative for his next presidential
13:32term.
13:33Iván, the coordinator of the organization of one times ten times seven electoral machinery
13:39Pedro Infante, called that the Venezuelan president has always been together with the
13:44people in the face of the blockades and sanctions.
13:56Today Venezuela is the country in the region with the highest economic growth sustained
14:00during the last 11 quarters.
14:05That's a fact.
14:06Nicolás faced the dollar today.
14:08You remember dollar today.
14:11Well today the Bolivar dollar relation is controlled thanks to President Nicolás Maduro
14:16who absolutely holds today the reins of the economy.
14:22On the other hand, in the plazas and drums, Diecera of La Guaira received the president
14:27of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, who visited the municipality of Vargas to
14:32participate in the great assembly of the one times ten times seven that took place in the
14:37state.
14:38The assembly was attended by the governor of the state, José Alejandro Terán, and
14:42the mayor of La Guaira, José Manuel Suárez, as well as the participation of different
14:47social movements.
14:56In spite of the fact that again and again you have stopped them, you have defeated them,
15:01they insist on provoking us.
15:03They insist on their lies.
15:08They insist on their surrender because the main characteristic they have is that they
15:12kneel down to those gringos, bastards.
15:18That is the first characteristic.
15:20There is no way.
15:22There is no way for them.
15:23Not even to cross a street, or answer a good morning, or make a proposal to anyone.
15:31If they do not first ask their owners, and their owners are the government of the United
15:36States of America, you want to hand over the Venezuelan homeland to those bastards?
15:47Also in Venezuela, the president, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed that he is ready for signing
15:52an agreement with the electoral authorities to recognize, aligned with the rest of the
15:56candidates, the results of the presidential elections.
16:02I am ready for signing an agreement before the electoral power so that all candidates
16:07recognize the bulletin that the National Electoral Council is going to read on election day.
16:12I am ready.
16:13I am ready because I believe in the electoral system.
16:20Because I believe in Venezuelan democracy.
16:23Because I believe in the people.
16:25Because I believe in deep and true democracy.
16:28I am ready as always.
16:30Who has been the promoter of dialogue in this country, in the face of coup d'état?
16:38Invasion attempts, attempts on my life so many times.
16:42They are present.
16:43The far-right wing hates, the haters, those who asked for invasion, and I have always
16:49had only one formula that I learned from Commander Chávez, dialogue, understanding, and respect
16:56for the Constitution.
17:01Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that the judiciary reform is necessary
17:05to stop the corruption that exists within it.
17:08During his daily morning conference, López Obrador warned that the judiciary has been
17:13he acted by organized crimes, influence, peddling, and fraud.
17:19The Mexican President said the pro-government Mayority Congress to be installed in September
17:24should promote that reform and reiterated that judges, magistrates, and ministers should
17:31be elected by popular vote to guarantee an athletic rule of law.
17:36I am very happy, and besides, it was a very good election, very good.
17:50The country is going to do very well, much better than now, because the foundations have
18:01already been laid.
18:02That is why this issue about the judicial power, because if we have made progress, for
18:14example, we have made progress in making those who didn't pay taxes pay.
18:19We have made progress in not allowing corruption.
18:28We have made progress in directing the budget to help the people.
18:31We have made progress in making sure that the support reaches the people directly.
