00:00Hello there, this is me Ansh Pandey and you are watching One India English.
00:12Students across India have taken the streets for seeking justice over the integration of
00:18the NEET 2024 results.
00:22An unprecedented 67 students have scored All India Rank 1 with marks ranging from 718
00:30to 719, which is deemed impossible according to NEET's own marking scheme.
00:38Compounding the suspicion, numerous toppers have hailed from the same examination centre
00:44too.
00:45And so the allegations of the question paper leak have started to surmount, with students
00:50now labelling the exam results as flawed, escalating the matter to a boiling point across
00:56various streets of India.
00:58As a result, now the Supreme Court has intervened, seeking responses from the Central Government
01:03and the National Test Agency on the petition alleging irregularities and demanding the
01:09cancellation of the May 5 exam and a fresh test.
01:14While the apex court has denied cancelling of the exams for now, allowing counselling
01:19services to commence, Justice Ehsanuddin Amanullah has firmly stated that the sanctity
01:25has been affected and so, the court now needs the answer over the allegations.
01:31The NTA's council has been directed to provide explanations regarding the alleged compromise
01:37of the examination's integrity.
01:40While the future of aspiring medical students hanging in the balance, the court's intervention
01:45has brought relief for the protesting student over the questionable leaked results.
01:51However, the onus is now on the NTA to address the severe allegations and restore the public
01:56faith in the country's premier medical entrance exam.
02:00The National Test Agency from its side has denied the allegations, stating that its revision
02:06of the answer key of the physics paper along with the compensatory marks provided for the
02:10loss of writing time which led to 67 students securing top rank.
02:16But there is more to add to this story.
02:19Some experts have also raised concern over the controversy.
02:23Advocate JSI Deepak, representing more than 20,000 students of Physicswala, has stated
02:29that justice will be surely served.
02:40The petition has been issued.
02:49But our petition is slightly different.
02:51I represent, along with Mr. Rohit Jain, Mr. Alok Pandey, who has collected signatures
02:58from about 20,000 students, which clearly shows that close to 70-80 marks have been
03:06awarded in grace marks randomly to at least 1,500 students.
03:10So our petition is different from the other petitions where we are challenging the arbitrary
03:13award of grace marks to people.
03:16If someone has got 650 or 630, they have also got 720.
03:20They have become All India Rank No. 1.
03:23So what we have told the court, there is a very clear issue here.
03:26The thing is, since the matter was not listed before the court today, the court has only
03:29said, you mention it in the registry and get it listed.
03:32So I think by tomorrow the matter should be listed.
03:35The matters that were listed before our matters have already had a notice issue.
03:39So the court has indicated that our matter will also be taken up with the other matters
03:43and there should also be a notice issue.
03:45But the court is clear that it will not stay the counselling process at this stage.
03:50So that is what the court has said.
03:51Let's see what happens.
03:52Tomorrow our matter will be listed.
03:53The controversy surrounding NEET 2024 result has intensified as Renault teacher Alok Pandey
03:59has also raised concern over the alleged irregularity in this examination process.
04:05Pandey's voice has added a significant weight to the ongoing protest by the students across
04:10India demanding justice and questioning the integrity of NTA.
04:29Pandey's voice has added a significant weight to the ongoing protest by the students across
04:50India demanding justice and questioning the integrity of NTA.
05:03However, the government and the National Test Agency have denied any discrepancy in the
05:09examination process.
05:11The NTA Director General Vineet Singh has stated that concerns were raised only in six
05:16out of 4,750 examination centres downplaying the severity of these all allegations.
05:24Singh acknowledged that the authorities are looking into the concerns regarding the compensatory
05:28marks and candidate who lost time on the examination day.
05:32The integrity etc. of this exam throughout the country was not compromised and one issue
05:39which was happened in Sawai Madhavpur that because of wrong Hindi-English distribution
05:45we like took the action immediately and because by that time at every centre candidates were inside
05:53so the question paper in social media was I think around 4.28 4.29 pm after the start of
06:01like two hours 28 minutes later so we said that there is no paper leak and
06:08and we reconducted the exam at that centre with a different question paper and it went
06:14smoothly and then there were allegations from some other centres that there is a possibility
06:20of paper leak so we all again analysed our system and denied that report through the
06:26press release on 6th of May so the whole exam process has been very transparent and
06:34the integrity of the exam was not compromised at all and categorically like stated in our
06:40press release so we like assure all the student community that the exam has been
06:46done with full integrity so this is like a brief of the things however he has categorically denied
06:53any instance of question paper leak contradicting the claims on social media made by the protesting
06:58student and the petitioners in the supreme court this case however is not just related to 20,000
07:05students this is a concern for lack of students who prepare every year for this exam and who are
07:11already preparing for the next batch that is in 2025 if these allegations and these accusations
07:18are true the government must intervene and delve out who is responsible for this disastrous sabotage
07:26of far-reaching consequences
