Open Farm took place on June 9 and a farm in Shropshire did not disappoint.

Willowdene Farm near Bridgnorth had a tractor display complete with parade, tractor rides, animals to feed, craft stalls. There was a lot to see which is a good job as the numbers of visitors were high this year, helped by the reasonable weather.

So we're here at Willowdean Farm and it's open day and it's packed isn't it? It's really good.
00:05
Yeah it's been a great turnout.
00:06
Cool, so is this your farm?
00:08
Yeah it's my farm but the day was organised by my daughter Emma.
00:10
Emma, how old are you then Emma?
00:12
I'm 17.
00:13
That's quite a lot to be organising at 17. I'm trying to think what I was doing.
00:17
I was struggling to get a paper and do nothing.
00:19
So what's your thoughts on the day then Emma?
00:22
I think it's gone really well. We've had a great turnout and everybody seems to have enjoyed it really.
00:28
And the tractors have been going down a treat haven't they? The little rides particularly.
00:32
They love the tractor and trailer rides.
00:34
And who's this little man?
00:35
What's your name?
00:36
James.
00:37
What have you enjoyed James? What bits have been the best? Have you had a go in the tractor?
00:41
Yeah.
00:42
Is that cool?
00:43
Yeah.
00:44
Do you think you might like to drive a tractor when you're older?
00:46
Yeah.
00:47
Cool, good answer. So the weather helps doesn't it? You know what I mean?
00:51
Have you done open farm before?
00:53
Yeah we did it last year with about 100 people but this year about 600 people have come through the gates.
00:57
That's mega isn't it really? And were you ready for 600?
01:00
About a minute before yeah.
01:02
Well thank you guys.
01:04
So how are you doing officer? You okay?
01:06
Amazing.
01:07
You've just picked the overall winner of the scarecrow competition.
01:11
We must point out this is not your drawing.
01:13
This is not my drawing. It's not a lookalike.
01:17
Why have you picked this one? Talk me through your artistic interpretation.
01:21
It's completely different to all the others. That's the only reason.
01:24
Well that's good enough for me.
01:25
Yeah.
01:25
Has it got a name on it? Do we know who's done it?
01:29
Yes.
01:30
Go on.
01:31
It's Ruth Franks.
01:33
Well done Ruth Franks.
01:44
How you doing Roxy?
01:45

01:46

01:48
It is.
01:49
You like a challenge don't you?
01:50
I should imagine animals with all the fur and the intricacies.
01:52
They can't be that easy to...
01:54
No that's it. They're all done in soft pastels.
01:57
Yeah.
01:57
Any particular animal that's a favourite for you to draw?
02:01
Yeah I like drawing the birds mainly.
02:03
