We found out why Frymaster is Sheffield's top-rated fish and chip shop on Google

Reporter Kirsty Hamilton visited Richard Pearce at Frymaster in Attercliffe, Sheffield, to find out just why it is so highly rated.

00:00What sets you apart from the other fish and chip shops in Sheffield?

00:04It's 40 years' experience, a background in fish and chips,

00:11and using the best products that we can get,

00:17and keeping prices as reasonable as we can,

00:21and still making fish and chips an affordable meal for everybody.

00:30My mum and dad had a fish and chip shop.

00:34My grandmother and her sisters also had a fish and chip shop.

00:39When I was born and brought up at a fish and chip shop,

00:42I was literally born into the business.

00:45You could say it's part of my DNA.

00:50It's always been a way of life, really.

00:52I saw it as an easy way out of school at 16.

00:56I didn't take any exams.

00:58I just wanted to get into the family business.

01:00And I've been here ever since.

01:03And now my son and wife also have a family shop.

01:08So we're still keeping it a family business.

01:12You could say it's a British tradition, a family tradition.
