Yorkshire-based Brewer, Little Valley has announced the sale of its brand to Great Newsome Brewery, Business Reporter Michael Crossland Reports.

00:04this morning that Yorkshire-based brewer Little Valley has announced the sale of its brand

00:09to the Great Newsome Brewery. Little Valley is based in Cragvale in West Yorkshire and

00:15was set up in 2005 by Dutch master brewer Wim van der Speck and his English partner

00:21Sue Cooper. The firm quickly became known amongst beer lovers for its continental slant

00:27on beers. The pair, who first met while cycling in South Asia and the Middle East, said they

00:33were delighted to pass on the baton to another family-owned Yorkshire brewery. Great Newsome,

00:39the company buying Little Valley, is an award-winning microbrewery based on the Hodgson family farm

00:45in Winstead near Hull. Matthew Hodgson, the director of the company, said he was extremely

00:50excited to carry on the great work done by Wim and Sue. That's all for the time being,
