00:00Sam Taylor is a popular character down at the shops in Lodgmore, Sheffield, where he works at Salon 60, a local hairdresser.

00:08And he's soon going to be well known across the UK, as he's set to be one of the stars of the new series of Love Island.

00:15We spoke to the people who know him.

00:17Ben, can you tell me a little bit about Sam Taylor who's going to be on Love Island, because I gather you know him.

00:23Yeah, he keeps popping in. Every few days he comes in and has a chat.

00:28Buys a bit of cottage cheese and a few biscuits and flapjacks and things and seems a really nice kid.

00:34Yeah, I've got to know him the last couple of years and always up for a good chat. Yeah, he's sound.

00:39Will you be watching him on Love Island?

00:41I think so. I never normally watch it, but I've told him that I'll definitely watch it if he's on.

00:49Will you be watching Sam Taylor on Love Island?

00:52Definitely. He's a lovely lad that works next door in the hairdressers and I'm in there in and out for my haircutting and sort of sorting out.

01:00And he's always keeping us entertained with his antiques. He's a smashing lad.

01:04Is he a good hairdresser as well?

01:05Yes. I've not heard any complaints about him.

01:08Does he do your hair?

01:09No, no, I have Maddie, one of the other ladies in there.

01:13Will you be watching Sam on Love Island?

01:16Yes, I'll definitely be watching every night.

01:19And you know Sam because he works next door, don't you?

01:22He works next door at the hairdressers, yes. So I've known him a good few months now and he's always been lovely.

01:29Is he nice when he comes into the shop?

01:32Yes, always chatty. He tells all sorts of funny stories that he's done at the weekend and he's just lovely, absolutely bubbly.

01:39And everyone always comes in and talks to him as well, which I think is really nice.
