00:17 During the May 29th episode of Taylor Lautner and wife Taye Lautner's podcast The Squeeze,

00:22 the dancer shares that the tWitch the public knew and the man she was married to were two

00:27 very different people.

00:29 So Stephen, it's interesting, I know him as Stephen.

00:33 A lot of people know him as tWitch.

00:35 Very two different humans.

00:37 He wore this character of tWitch and it did become a part of who he was, but that extroverted

00:44 personality was not natural for him.

00:48 So when he would go out as tWitch and make sure he's spreading all this love and joy

00:52 and positivity and be dancing all the time for people and an entertainer and such, it

00:59 would drain his energy.

01:01 Stephen who ended his own life in December 2022 shared three children with Allison, 14-year-old

01:07 stepdaughter Wesley as well as seven-year-old son Maddox and three-year-old daughter Zaya,

01:12 with Allison revealing that he would confide in her and their eldest daughter about his

01:16 struggles maintaining his upbeat and outgoing public persona.

01:21 And he would have to come home and he would always tell me and my oldest daughter at the

01:25 time because my others, they were younger, they didn't hear these things, but our home

01:28 was his safe place.

01:29 So he'd come home and have to like really recharge his battery.

01:36 And when you're saying recharge your battery that also comes with the state of depression

01:44 because you get really low.

01:46 She goes on to detail that even though Stephen was so beloved by his fans, he didn't always

01:51 feel as though he deserved it.

01:53 When he would receive so much love, he almost didn't think he deserved that love so he would

01:58 give it right back.

02:00 That's why he was such a giver because if he received something he was like, but I need

02:05 to give it to everyone else because that's how much he loved people.

02:09 And while Allison reflects that she now understands that her husband of almost a decade was severely

02:14 depressed, unfortunately she just didn't see it then.

02:18 But at the end of the day, I think there was maybe extra help he needed that I was unaware

02:22 of at the time.

02:24 Talking to a therapist, maybe some medication as well.

02:27 But I was unaware, you know, and I think he also was because I think he also thought he

02:32 was taking care of it because you'd be like, I'm low.

02:38 Like give me some time to like, yeah, to build it back up.
