00:00 We know about the developments in the launch of the new Philippines' copyhunt
00:05 in different regions of the country.
00:07 From PIA National Capital Region, we are joined by Emver Cortes.
00:12 Good afternoon, Emver. How is the copyhunt in the new Philippines here in NCR?
00:19 Good afternoon, Asek Dale, Yusek Marge, Asek Joey.
00:23 Our copyhunt is very informative and engaging in the National Capital Region.
00:29 We have discussed a lot, we have shared a lot of information,
00:34 especially the projects of our guest agency, the Department of Public Works and Highways.
00:41 Earlier, we talked about the plans of the department for the upcoming LANINIA,
00:49 the various road works that we are doing here in the National Capital Region,
00:54 and of course, the various infrastructures that they are doing
00:57 so that the services of various agencies can be expanded throughout the country.
01:06 But for us, the National Capital Region is our highlight, so we are really focused on the infrastructure.
01:12 Those are good updates, Sir Emver. And thank you very much, Emver Cortes of PIA NCR.
01:19 From Luzon, we are joined by William Beltran of PIA Region 3.
01:25 Good afternoon, William.
01:27 Good afternoon to you, Asek Dale, Yusek Marge, and Asek Joey.
01:33 And good afternoon to all of our viewers of our program.
01:37 Sir William, can we get your report on the copyhunt that took place in your area?
01:44 Well, Yusek Marge, basically our copyhunt for today,
01:51 our copyhunt in Bago, Philippines, here in Central Luzon, was a report.
01:55 It was like a state of DPWH projects report of our region.
01:59 So there were a lot of high-impact projects presented earlier.
02:02 And our audience, particularly our media attending the press con earlier,
02:07 were very appreciative of the information they received.
02:10 Yusek Marge, this is one platform that we are proud of because we use social media.
02:16 We know that 86% of our population are into social media.
02:20 When it comes to consumption of news,
02:22 so this copyhunt in Bago, Philippines, which we launched today,
02:25 across all regions in our country,
02:28 we're giving our people credible and reliable sources of news information about our government.
02:36 And you were able to do that by featuring DPWH earlier.
02:40 Because we know that Yusek Marge, Asek Dale, Asek Joey,
02:44 when we talk about DPWH, there are a lot of issues that are being raised.
02:49 And during the copyhunt earlier,
02:52 at least we were able to clarify the wrong opinions and wrong assumptions about DPWH project delays.
03:02 And maybe what I can say is that our audience earlier,
03:08 and even our media, they really look forward to completion of more high-impact projects in Central Luzon.
03:14 Like for example, the Kapasbatulan Infrastructure Road, Connectivity Road.
03:19 And at the same time, in San Fernando, Pampanga,
03:22 our Dolores Lazatin Flyover, which will be turned into a viaduct very soon.
03:29 So this will be a game changer for the city of San Fernando and Pampanga province at the same time.
03:34 Thank you very much, William Beltran of PIA Region 3.
03:41 Meanwhile, let's go to Visayas.
03:44 Update from Cheryl Amor of PIA Region 6.
03:47 Good afternoon, Cheryl.
03:49 How was the launch of your copyhunt in your region?
03:53 Good afternoon to all of you.
03:57 Here in Western Visayas, our discussion was very hot.
04:02 We started at 9 o'clock and finished at more than 11 o'clock.
04:08 So it was that hot. From copyhunt, it became early.
04:13 So there.
04:14 A lot of people clarified, not just the WHO.
04:18 A lot of questions, that's why it went past the time limit.
04:23 But we welcome that.
04:25 Because the questions that were not asked, were asked.
04:29 The answers that were not answered, were answered.
04:33 A lot of clarification.
04:36 RD San Europell emphasized the importance of partnership between the LGU and the National Government Agency in completing projects.
04:52 He also emphasized the NGA to NGA partnership.
04:57 They have a lot of obstacles, but because of this partnership, their projects are slowly but surely being completed.
05:09 RD became happy with DPWH because he really considered the media.
05:19 Because this is the first chance that the media really faced and gave a chance to ask questions.
05:29 Because he really considered the media as a partner.
05:33 Partner in their advocacy, partner in their progress, and partner in their accomplishments.
05:39 So the PIA is also a partner of DPWH and all of our NGAs.
05:46 So the media really welcomed our first meeting in Bagong, Philippines.
05:56 Actually, we are already supporting the media, we are also supporting the NGA.
06:01 But we are just trying to make it easier.
06:03 If we have reporting, info dissemination every day, now we are doing it twice a day, thrice a day.
06:10 Every day for the 24/7, we have an updating about the programs of our agencies.
06:17 And our LTFRB next week is ready to follow.
06:26 So for those who understand, as DJ Torres said earlier, for the grassroots level,
06:35 we decided to have English reporting instead of our own dialect.
06:43 So here in Western Visayas, we were given the prominent dialect that our host uses.
06:53 I wasn't the host earlier, but our very able and proficient host was given that.
07:01 That's also the request of our RD, because she wants the grassroots level in the barangay to understand
07:10 what they are doing, why there are problems, why the implementation of the project is slow,
07:17 and why the completion is sometimes delayed.
07:22 So that's it.
07:23 We are looking forward to our media, we call them "suki"
07:27 and next week, we will have a coverage of Bagong Pilipinas here in Western Visayas.
07:32 Thank you very much, Cheryl Amor of PIA Region 6.
07:37 And from Mindanao, we will talk to Venus Garcia of PIA Caraga.
07:42 Good afternoon, Venus. How is the coverage of Bagong Pilipinas in Mindanao?
07:48 Good afternoon to all of us and to our viewers.
07:53 Here in the Caraga region, the first episode of Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas was a good one.
07:59 Our featured agency, which is the DPWH, was very appreciative for the successful and smooth conduct
08:07 of our maiden episode of Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas.
08:11 Of course, in partnership with the PCO through the PIA.
08:15 Because through this Kapihan, we were able to give, especially the DPWH,
08:21 updates or status of the big ticket infra projects implemented in the region.
08:27 So this communication initiative helped to better understand the people
08:34 at the grassroots level, what our government is doing,
08:38 and to promote impactful citizen engagement.
08:44 Our media partners in the region also enjoyed our Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas platform.
08:51 Because they had the opportunity to talk directly to our regional directors of government agencies.
08:59 And directly to address their questions.
09:04 Overall, the first Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas was a success.
09:09 And expect us to do this regularly.
09:15 So that our fellow citizens can understand what our government is doing.
09:22 Thank you very much, Venus Garcia of PIA Caraga and to all our fellow citizens from the Philippine Information Agency.
