00:31 Hi, my name is Diego Gastaldi, I am a traveler and documentary filmmaker.
00:35 This year I decided to follow the tour of Italy to discover the beauties of the beautiful country and the Made in Italy. Follow me!

00:58 Hi Enrico!
00:59 Hi Diego! How are you?
01:00 Good, good! I just did the cycling, here beautiful in front of the lake, I got wet, unfortunately, the day, but really beautiful!
01:07 Well, well, well, you know that here passes the Venice-Monaco, so you can not but have fun.
01:13 Here we have different routes, we have this one here near the lake that starts from Cadore,
01:19 goes down and arrives at Vittorio Veneto through the cycling, but then we have the Piana del Cansiglio, the Colle del Nevegal.
01:26 We have cyclables for families, for experts, for less experts, we have a bit of everything.
01:31 Then the Santa Croce Lake is the flower of the Alpago, the Conca of the province of Belluno.
01:36 We have in summer windsurf, kitesurf, in winter we have beautiful mountains for mountaineering,
01:43 we have the climb in the natural walls of the magnificent Alpago.
01:49 Many other initiatives here you can certainly see.
01:54 I thank you Enrico, I continue my tour.
01:56 Diego, in Boca al Lupo, have a good trip and see you soon.
02:00 Bye Enrico.
02:01 Bye.

02:28 Hi Daniela.
02:29 Hi Diego, welcome to Villa Angarano Bianchi Michiel.
02:33 Thank you, beautiful. What is this villa?
02:35 The villa is part of the circle of the 24 villas of Palladio in the province of Vicenza.
02:41 The peculiarity of this villa is that it is an agricultural villa linked to the territory and traditions,
02:47 where wine is also produced, as Palladio already mentioned in the second book of his four books of architecture.
02:55 These wines are then poured into the barricade that we have in the agricultural court.
03:02 What year is this villa?
03:04 The villa was designed in 1548, then the boats were erected.
03:11 Once they were put back for the boats, nowadays they are warehouses and workplaces.
03:17 I don't understand why boats were kept here.
03:19 Because we have the Brenta nearby. From here you left with the boat to go to Venice.
03:25 Now they have become workplaces or warehouses.
03:30 And so, in the end, it still works today, it is an agricultural company in all respects.
03:33 Sure, it is an agricultural company in all respects.
03:36 We have the vineyards here that produce red wine, Merlot and Cabernet.
03:41 Inside the park we have the vineyards for white wine, Chardonnay and Vespaiolo.
03:47 The old bridge on the Brenta is the symbol of the city of Bassano del Grappa.
03:58 It is a wooden bridge, one of the most characteristic of Italy.
04:01 Built at the beginning of the 1200s, it was destroyed by a Brenta plain and rebuilt in the mid-1500s on the project of Andrea Palladio,
04:09 which introduces significant structural changes, such as the pylons positioned in the direction of the waters.
04:15 For its favorable strategic position along the Brenta river, dominated from above by the Castello degli Ezzellini along Signori della Città,
04:28 Bassano has historically been a crossroads of trade routes between the plain, valleys and Alps of Venice.
04:34 The old bridge, also called the bridge of the Alps, is dedicated to the memory of the hundreds of thousands of soldiers,
04:45 in particular the Alpine units, who crossed it during the First World War to go and fight on the Alps.
04:50 This is also why the city of Bassano del Grappa is officially considered the world capital of the Alps.
04:56 And here we are at the end of this penultimate stage, we are in Bassano del Grappa, the homeland of the Alps.
05:10 This is the old bridge dedicated to them.
05:13 And we are almost at the end of this long, beautiful, challenging journey that has brought us all over Italy.
05:21 See you tomorrow in Rome. Bye!
