00:07Well, add real Christmas trees to that list.
00:11The American Christmas Tree Association director Jamie Warner, yes, that's a job, says that
00:16environmental and economic factors make Christmas trees harder to find this year.
00:21In a press release from the organization, Warner says, quote, In 2021, we're seeing
00:26a variety of trends influencing artificial and live Christmas tree supply across the
00:30country and are encouraging consumers to find their tree early this year to avoid shortage
00:35impacts, unquote.
00:37Some Oregon farmers have reported losing 90% of their crop this year due to fires, drought,
00:43and heat waves in the Pacific Northwest.
00:45In addition, supply chain issues are affecting availability throughout the country.
00:49Still, Warner says, focus on family and many being able to see each other again for the
00:54holiday makes any tree a good tree.
00:57Warner says, quote, really, there are no such thing as bad Christmas trees.
