00:00We'll be right back.
00:03It's the Reds at the bottom of the National League Central and
00:06today in Cincy, the Reds are hosting the Dodgers. LA a
00:10minus 158 favorite total at nine and a half. What do you
00:13like tonight in a great American ballpark? Sooner than
00:16later, James Paxson is going to get hit around. He's playing a
00:18little bit of fire. Take a look at the analytical numbers. X
00:21fit minus on the card today, Ben. If we take a look at
00:23pitchers over the first 60 days of Major League Baseball
00:25season with at least 20 innings pitched, he's 27th out of
00:2927 on the card today, but as one of the better ERA is a 2.84.
00:33It doesn't make sense. It just means he's getting lucky, which
00:36you don't strike out enough batters and you walk too many
00:39people, but you still do have to have an offense. That's going
00:41to be able to capitalize on that. And I don't know if we get
00:44that out of the Reds today, Tyler Stephenson in the middle
00:46of that line of Stewart Fairchild's going to bat right
00:48around seventh. The only positive batters. I see in the
00:50lineup against left-handed pitching at least over the past
00:5330 days. Then we flip it over to the Dodgers and say if I could
00:56just get a competent effort here out of Paxson, which he has
00:59been non-analytical numbers, Graham Ashcraft should be able
01:02to get hit from the left-hand side. And we talk about
01:04left-handed batters over the past 30 days. You got two of
01:06the best of them right here sitting on the Dodgers. That's
01:09Shohei Otani, 75 at-bats with a 303 ISO power number. Freddie
01:13Freeman, 74 at-bats with a 262 weighted on base percentage.
01:17The Dodgers should win this game, but I am waiting for the
01:19bottom to fall out on James Paxson, which hasn't happened
01:22yet. Maybe it does tonight. It just doesn't look great from
01:25a Reds perspective. That's all.
