00:33 Senator Mig Zubiri's valedictory speech was emotional and full of meaning when he was sworn in as Senate President during the session earlier.

00:46 I've listened to all my colleagues throughout my Senate presidency. And again, I listened to them today.

00:52 I fought the good fight. If I've ruffled some feathers in doing so, then so be it.

00:59 Zubiri then followed by Senator Loren Legarda as Senate President pro tempore,

01:05 Senator Joel Villanueva as Majority Leader, and Senator JV Ejercito as Deputy Majority Leader.

01:12 Senator Nancy Binay and Senator Sonny Angara were also nominated as chairpersons of their committees.

01:18 Senator Chase Escudero was nominated as Senate President.

01:21 He was not fighting, so he was elected as a lawful candidate.

01:23 My hats off to you, Senator Zubiri. I salute you and I hope I will make you proud.

01:30 Senator Jingo Estrada was elected as a new Senate President pro tempore while Senator Francis Tolentino was elected as a new Majority Leader.

01:38 Chairpersons of several vacancy committees will also be replaced, including the committee that leads in discussing the Charter Change.

01:44 Senator Escudero is openly against the Charter Change. I hope the people that supported him know that. As far as we're concerned, the Charter Change this week is dead.

01:56 We will discuss it on the part of the majority, but you know my position.

01:59 Zubiri admitted that he feels bad about what happened.

02:02 I'm heartbroken. My fellow countrymen whom I consider as my allies, they left us without even talking to us.
