00:20 at 49.3% while 72.9% are men.
00:26 Some applicants say it's harder to find a job if it's a woman,
00:31 especially since some companies are asking if they have children.
00:35 The Department of Labor and Employment reminds us
00:37 that gender, status or age should not be a barrier to hiring.
00:42 In an interview with the Damangahas, Dr. Annie Gueron,
00:46 one of the convenors of Women's Workers United, said
00:50 that there is still a big gender gap when it comes to opportunities and treatment for employees.
00:56 We still cannot break the view that women working are just supporters,
01:05 and the breadwinner or the one who should earn is the man.
