00:00Sunshine today, but it turns more unsettled later on this week, of course

00:04I can't make it last all week long, but I've got something for you Richard

00:06Well, you're gonna like this look at this picture. So this is a video from by anybody

00:10Yeah, it's amazing how our atmosphere protects us from these things isn't it because on the moon that would have made a huge crater

00:15You know exactly so, you know, the atmosphere is hot then it's cold

00:19So it burns up and it's it's full of metal

00:21So it's most like to be full of magnesium, which is why I gave off that beautiful

00:24Wouldn't you like to see one of those with the naked eye?

00:26Something it probably lifts up the whole

00:28So, yes

00:29We had that amazing comet in the sky the northern lights in the sky and the Sun was in the sky yesterday

00:33And it will be with us for today

00:35But it won't last all week because low pressure close by

00:39Moves in from the east this week bringing with it more cloud and more rain

00:43But we keep this southerly flow which keeps things mild

00:46So the week starts off fine and sunny

00:48But they're telling that a little bit cooler with the increased risk of showers and thunderstorms arriving

00:53But this is how it looks right now

00:54It is largely fine and dry on our satellite and radar

00:57Some areas of mist and fog around a fresh start than many of us have been used to

01:01But sunshine greets us and as we head through the day low cloud misty conditions will slowly burn back to the coast

01:07But the last few days places that have kept the low cloud along those eastern coasts have maybe just been 11 or 12 degrees

01:13It burns back more today and that means it's set to be that little bit warmer

01:16So yet again in the south and the sunshine 24 above average across the board with just one or two light showers

01:22Worth pointing out UV levels will be high across the board today

01:26But tonight clear skies for many and it means another very good chance to see in the northern lights for Scotland, Northern England

01:31Northern Ireland, but not in the south
