Media Isle of Man's Tom Curphey chats to Liverpool Football Club legend Phil Thompson out on the course during the Craig's Heartstrong Foundation charity golf day at Ramsey Golf Club
Transcript
00:00 So Phil, you've been on here for quite a while now, what do you think about the green?
00:04 Do you know what, it's been absolutely fantastic. The greens are really good, the course is fantastic.
00:09 Because we've had a lot of wet weather and now just on a couple of days of dry weather,
00:14 I just think it's been absolutely terrific. You couldn't have got a better day.
00:18 Because I think when we were planning this with Paul, we were talking about next week,
00:23 which is going to rain, but we said no, we'll have it on the 10th. And I think it's worked
00:28 absolutely perfect because you couldn't get better weather.
00:30 So you've certainly picked a good day and it's all for a good cause as well for Craigheartstrong.
00:33 How important is it to you to go to these events and these charity things like this?
00:37 Well I've done this, the Craigheartstrong Foundation now for quite a few years. So with
00:43 Paul Healey, I've been over there with Jeff Stelling, I was over there with Bruce Grobler,
00:48 and we've done a few events. It's the most wonderful experience because it's so vibrant
00:53 and it's everybody. You know, defibrillators, we've had so long to get them to do what he's
01:00 done. I think everybody from the Healey Foundation just think it's absolutely wonderful.
01:05 We'll let you get back to your goal. First out of the four of you, who's been the best?
01:08 How are you?
01:09 You're looking as frail as you can talk.
01:14 I'm better man.
01:16 Cheers Phil, happy to work.
