00:00 She applied pre-COVID-19 pandemic and she was refused.
00:07 And of course, during the pandemic, nobody could travel for three years from China.
00:12 At the end of the pandemic, so this year in January, she reapplied,
00:16 assuming that she would get in.
00:19 But she was refused again.
00:22 Even though we offered to put a bond up,
00:26 it doesn't seem to make any difference.
00:29 It's literally aghast at what a human being can do to see their family.
00:34 I always thought that Australia was into family values,
00:39 but how can you have a family value when you can't see them?
00:42 I'm in the late stage of COPD, which means my lungs are not producing oxygen anymore.
00:48 As we go, every day my lungs produce less oxygen.
00:53 So, time is short.
00:55 The doctor said I shouldn't have stress with this condition because it actually makes it worse.
00:59 So, I went to the ImmiSci and found the immigration agent.
01:04 He's a lawyer and he quoted me $5,000.
01:08 No guarantee anything will happen.
01:11 So, then I thought, well, where do we go?
01:15 He told me as well, the lawyer, that the more you apply and get rejected,
01:18 the less chance you've got of ever getting a visa.
01:22 I've been rejected twice.
01:25 Do you apply again?
01:28 Or do you just say I can never see my family?
01:31 Because, as I say, I just don't know where to go or what to do.
01:34 What do you do?
