Kim Kardashian’s Daughter North West LANDS a Spot in ‘Lion King’ Show E! News

00:00Northwest is hitting the stage. The 10-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian

00:04and Kanye West lands a role in an exciting new gig. She'll be hitting the

00:09Hollywood Bowl stage as part of Disney's The Lion King special performances on

00:14May 24th and May 25th. Though it hasn't been announced exactly what role the

00:20young reality star will be playing, North will be joining an impressive ensemble

00:24of Lion King alums from every corner of the franchise. From the original

00:291994 film, Jeremy Irons will be reprising Scar as Nathan Lane and Ernie

00:35Sabella will be back in their roles as Timon and Pumbaa. Even the voice of young

00:40Simba's musical numbers in the film, Jason Weaver, is signed up to perform.

00:44They'll be joined by Billy Eichner, who played Timon in the 2019 live-action

00:49version of The Beloved Story. Other big names like Broadway's Heather Headley

00:54and Bradley Gibson, who have played Nala and Simba in the musical The Lion King,

00:58have signed on for the performances, as well as EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson. The

01:04Disney Plus original special will bring fans back into the Pride Lands with

01:08immersive live performances from the iconic soundtrack, such as Can You Feel

01:13the Love Tonight and Hakuna Matata, backed by a full orchestra. This milestone

01:19moment should come as no surprise as North has been vocal about her love for

01:24music. In fact, she's already following in her dad's footsteps. Having announced

01:29in March, she's getting ready to drop her first album. She said at the March

01:3310th release listening party for Kanye's album, Vultures 2, quote,

01:38I've been working on an album and it's called Elementary School Dropout. The

01:42title is itself a further nod to her dad, whose own debut studio album in 2004 was

01:48titled The College Dropout, but on whether the Gold Digger singer will

01:52feature on his daughter's album, she revealed to Jazlyn Jazzy Guerrera from

01:57Jazzy World TV March 17th, quote, maybe, we don't know yet. There is, however, one

02:02promise she's ready to make, quote, it's gonna be great. But with no release

02:07timeline for Elementary School Dropout, fans can tune in to The Lion King at the

02:11Hollywood Bowl, either live in person or streaming on Disney Plus, to see North's

02:16performance.
