00:00 Hello. Quite rare to have been talking about warm spring sunshine over recent weeks, even
00:06 rarer to talk about it being widespread. But that's what we've got for the next couple
00:10 of days and temperatures ticking up into the weekend. Now, it's not been gloriously sunny
00:14 everywhere so far today. Misty, murky conditions across parts of the south and the satellite
00:19 picture showing thicker cloud across the northwest of Scotland. Bit of a drab one here and there
00:23 will be some rain at times, especially over the Western Isles. But for most places, it
00:28 is dry, often fairly cloudy over northeast Scotland and parts of northeast England. But
00:32 even here, it is relatively bright and so for many, it's fine and it's sunny and it
00:37 is warming up. Temperatures getting up into the high teens, low 20s pretty much everywhere,
00:43 perhaps a little bit cooler with that thicker cloud and some patchy rain over the far northwest
00:47 that will spread into parts of Caithness and Sutherland through this evening and then across
00:51 the Northern Isles overnight. A little bit of showery rain possible in Aberdeenshire
00:54 too. But for most, it'll be a dry night. Mist and low cloud could again return to parts
00:59 of eastern England and some fog patches possible over parts of southern England and South Wales.
01:05 But for most, it'll be a dry night, a fine night, stipping down to single figures in
01:09 some spots, particularly in the countryside, but many towns and cities staying in double
01:13 digits. On to Friday and a cracking day for the most part. Yes, it could start a bit misty
01:19 and murky again over eastern England, some low cloud clinging to the coast, possibly
01:23 here through the day. A bit of a damp start maybe in Shetland, but even here that rain
01:27 clearing away by mid to late morning and sky starting to brighten. A brighter day in northwest
01:32 Scotland, plenty of sunshine here in most places, joining in with sunny spells by the
01:37 afternoon. Late in the day, just the possibility over the hills of northern England we might
01:43 just spot one or two very isolated showers. But as I say, for most places, warm spring
01:48 sunshine is the order of Friday and temperatures getting up into the 20s, 23, 24 possible across
01:54 the southeast, a little cooler around some coasts, but even here, mostly getting into
02:00 the high teens. It depends if that mist and low cloud returns. This map showing temperatures
02:05 compared to average. Most places in that area between three and six degrees above average.
02:12 Some coasts, as I said, will be closer to average, particularly if it does stay a little
02:15 bit misty. But for the most part, pretty, pretty warm in that sunshine and staying fine
02:19 through Friday evening as well. So if you've got plans, light winds, plenty of sunshine.
02:25 We all see the cloud thickening a little bit more once more in towards the northwest later
02:30 in the day. Perhaps that a sign of change as we go through the weekend. But still, most
02:34 places will have some warmer weather through Saturday and possibly into Sunday as well.

02:43 on YouTube by Thursday afternoon.
