Lewis Cox explains why Southampton are 'there to be got at'

00:05have conceded 16 more goals on Albion this season, despite finishing 12 points better

00:12off, which is quite incredible, isn't it? Now, they've also scored 17 more. And this

00:18isn't an Albion side that scored too many, we know this, but it's a mean Albion side

00:24defensively, isn't it? Albeit a lack of clean sheets of late, but you're right in terms

00:28of let's look at Southampton's backline being pretty generous, and they do concede, don't

00:35they? And maybe at times, or certainly at St Mary's, we saw why they do concede. And

00:40I think another thing worth mentioning, arguably Albion's best attacker this season, Mikey

00:46Johnson, albeit only played half the season, I still think he's probably the best attacker

00:50this season. Barely got going, hadn't he? Looking at that Southampton win at the Hawthorns

00:57in mid-February. Johnson started, but he's Hawthorns career had barely got going, really.

01:03So they haven't faced that. I mean, look at how Johnson tore Leicester to shreds the other

01:09week. He could, should have had a hat-trick in 20 minutes, should have at least scored

01:13one, but tore them apart on his own. Fellows hadn't really got up and around it by that

01:18point. So there's plenty in Albion's arsenal that Southampton haven't faced yet, or had

01:25to face yet, or quite have experienced yet. So that's another thing. But you're right,

01:31look, they've got some cracking individual defenders. I mean, we talk about Mikey Johnson

01:35from Albion, he'll be up against Kyle Walker-Peters. He's Premier League right-back, isn't he?

01:39He just is. And if Southampton don't go up, he'll probably get snapped up by a Premier

01:43League club. And that'd be a huge measure for Johnson, but you back him the way he's

01:51got any other right-back in the league this season. So, yeah, look, the stats tell us

01:57a picture. They're there to be got.
