Tesla Cuts Supercharger Team, Pledges to Prioritize Network Expansion and Uptime

Tesla recently laid off several key members of its Supercharger team as part of cutting 10% of its workforce. Elon Musk explained on Twitter that Tesla will still grow the Supercharger network, just at a slower pace for new locations and with more focus on 100% uptime and expanding existing sites. Tesla recently opened Supercharger access to other automakers like Rivian and Ford, and over 10 more will get access in North America. Some states, like Hawaii and Alaska, and various rural areas, offer limited Tesla Supercharger options, necessitating significant drives for many users to access charging facilities.
