Anne Hathaway Expresses How Motherhood Made It Easy To Play Her Role In ‘The Idea Of You’

The Intern actress shared how her relationship with children helped her in better understanding the character in the upcoming rom-com film.

00:06her role in the romantic comedy, The Idea of You.

00:10At the New York City premiere of The Idea of You, the American actress said that her

00:15understanding of her character, Solene, was aided by the love she has for her sons, Jack

00:21and Jonathan, whom she co-parents with her husband, Adam Schulman.

00:26I don't think it's necessary to be a mother to play a mother.

00:30I think that should be open to lots of different actors," said Anne.

00:34But for me, in terms of understanding the depth of love that you can feel for this person

00:40and what you would be willing to do, I felt like it allowed the love for Heist to be even

00:45bigger for Solene, because she loves her daughter more than anything.
