Storms to cause travel problems this Wednesday

00:02 Chicago today as the storming weather

00:04 remained off to the West and guess what?

00:07 It's going to be still sunny and warm

00:09 or a little bit while longer,

00:11 which means smooth sailing for travelers.

00:13 But there's going to be other problems

00:16 across the north central tier of the

00:18 nation because they still are dealing

00:20 with those thunderstorms.

00:21 So if you want to get out,

00:23 walk on the lake shore there in Chicago.

00:26 You've got all the options to

00:27 at least weather wise you head north.

00:29 Rainfall is trying to lift into Canada,

00:32 but of course more thunderstorms

00:33 are reigniting for your Wednesday,

00:35 which means travel setbacks.

00:36 There will be a few in the Northwest.

00:38 Helena seeing some showers,

00:39 so maybe a few minor delays there.

00:42 Afternoon thunderstorms in Denver as we

00:43 take our way into the north central tier.

00:46 The nation, Omaha, Kansas City.

00:47 We're still in that threat for at

00:49 least a few thunderstorms to get

00:51 going before the end of the day.

00:53 Meanwhile, Oklahoma City into Dallas

00:55 will be dealing with some of those

00:57 strong to severe thunderstorms possible.

00:58 As you look towards Houston.

01:00 Also a few thunderstorms possible.

01:01 Most of the severe weather will come a

01:03 little farther West and a little bit later

01:05 on Northeast morning delays possible around.

01:07 Boston, we're going to have some

01:09 showers that are moving offshore.

01:10 That will also have an impact in New York City,

01:13 Philadelphia, maybe some drizzle,

01:14 minor delays for the morning.

01:16 DC Baltimore.

01:16 It would only be very early if we saw anything.

01:19 A lot of that clears off pretty early on,

01:22 so showers in a few spots early in Washington,

01:25 DC.

01:25 So maybe if you're at that at 5:00 AM

01:27 in the rush hour,

01:28 you're going to have some travel there.

01:30 Problems,

01:31 but Boston dealing with his

01:32 morning showers in Tulsa.

01:33 Also the yellow light for your

01:35 morning commute 'cause there with

01:37 some thunderstorms around for the

01:38 morning as we take you through the

01:40 next couple of days by the skies.

01:42 Flight cancellations.

01:43 They go up on Thursday due to

01:45 some of that severe weather,

01:46 making a difference in hubs like Chicago.

01:49 For example,

01:49 we'll start to see some of those

01:51 thunderstorms working their way on

01:53 into more populated cities.

01:54 Otherwise,

01:55 though,

01:55 we're pretty on par for for

01:57 for flight cancellations for this time of year.
