Which new sports will feature at Paris 2024?

Daniel Wales looks at which new sports will take place at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

00:00This summer we'll see the French capital of Paris host the Summer Olympic Games for the third time,

00:08following previous games in 1900 and in 1924.

00:12It will join London as the only two cities to have hosted the Summer Games on three separate occasions.

00:18The world's best athletes will come together, as always, to compete in what is a celebration of sport.

00:25In terms of new sports at Paris 2024, breaking, or breakdancing, will make its full debut.

00:31It will be joined by three recently added sports, they are sport climbing, skateboarding and surfing.

00:38Sports that were at Tokyo 2020, including baseball, softball and karate, will not take place at this year's Games.
