00:55 Yeah, it's kind of been a family affair. Hugh actually came to our first game of the season this year

01:04 And this is not really a spoiler alert when you go up a league you go up a level of competition

01:10 And we just plain old got our asses spanked. Yeah, you did. And Hugh was there to watch every second of it

01:18 Yeah, taking it all in. Yeah, he wasn't very jealous that day. Not exactly a good luck charm that Hugh did. No

01:23 People expected to see a documentary about us changing Rexum

01:34 But I think it's about Rexum changing everyone else. Welcome to Rexum season three

01:40 And of course last season we see the team's huge success play out a growing legion of fans

01:45 So seeing the team their journey to this point how proud are the two of you?

01:51 So proud of the players the entire organization and and the talent

01:57 For for sticking with the club for as long as they have I mean for generations

02:03 But really the past 15 years of struggle to try to get out of the league and to see

02:09 Them finally do it is it's truly a testament to their willingness to fight through adversity

02:15 I don't think I've ever experienced relief

02:18 Like that when we got out of the National League

02:32 You've invested your all of this, you know

02:35 Love and devotion into this club and resources and money and all these sorts of things

02:38 But at the end of the day you're carrying the hopes and dreams of this whole town

02:42 You're feeling every single one of those heartbeats in that town in that moment as the clock whittles down

02:48 Just hoping that you can you know

02:50 And I just found it fascinating how completely and uniquely tied the the town and the club are at all times

02:57 There's sort of a living breathing thing in their own interconnection

03:00 And I just it's it's been one of the most beautiful things I think I've ever seen and at times heartbreaking

03:05 Yeah, I'm sure but it's fascinating to see it as a viewer too. And I mean you just get so much energy and love

03:10 From this series. We're gonna be seeing light shown on the women's team as well. So you're both dads Ryan you're father to daughter

03:17 So how important was it for you to highlight the women's team this year? Look long before

03:22 Wrexham the only soccer club I followed was the Canadian National Women's Team. I

03:26 Not only do I follow them. I follow them on social media

03:30 I mean, I was obsessed with it and my kids were too so we would watch

03:35 Those women go out there and give their last drop of blood not just for the sport and and for their team

03:41 But for their country and so I've been a huge fan of women in in in this particular sport for a long time

03:49 I found it more exciting than the men's game

03:51 So the fact that we get to have this opportunity to kind of nurture and grow

03:54 Wrexham AFC women and the kind of talent we have on there the kind of heart we have and they're crushing it, you know

04:01 Yeah, this season's been challenging though. They're there. It's not as

04:05 You know that this they got promoted as well. So the jump to this league is

04:09 Significantly different, you know as it is for the men's club as well. You guys are both dads

04:15 You're hugely successful obviously in your acting career now in sports as well

04:19 So as dads are you thinking like oh, I'd love my kid to get into that sports world or I prefer

04:25 Prefer maybe the acting world. Do you have a preference? Does one make you less nervous than the other?

04:29 My kids have no interest in either

04:32 Seriously either no what what I think maybe that's just the birthright of of every human being they come in and

04:39 They truly believe that I'm the biggest dork in the world

04:43 And I mean we have a great relationship and we love each other and they love coming to the games

04:47 Yeah, the boys are understand competition. Yes

04:51 They're exceptionally competitive, but they don't they're there

04:55 I I definitely learned a very long time ago and maybe it was through my relationship with my own dad

05:01 was that all we can do is

05:03 Figure out who they want to be and then help them be the best version of that

05:09 And if we try to push them in any direction

05:12 I just remember resisting my dad at every turn and then even looking back later in life and saying like dad

05:17 Why didn't you push me further and he's like what?

05:19 But all you did was resist and I understand that so my kids have been to many many games and

05:28 There's just super supportive of the entire endeavor, but they've got their own things going. Yeah, that's a good - I love it

05:33 All there I do like that my kids my kids play sports

05:36 And I think it's I like that it I think it teaches them resourcefulness

05:40 I think competition and that degree is healthy to a certain degree, but yes

05:45 Look this shot of Blake and Taylor at the Super Bowl was all of us as stressed out as they looked over what was gonna happen

05:52 With the game do you Ryan do you and Rob get as stressed out watching Wrexham games?

05:56 I mean, oh, it's safe to say that. Oh, yeah, that's the case

05:59 You think I was I would say think that we have each other because you know

06:03 We're the co-chairman of the club

06:04 We have to keep us some degree of stoicism when we're talking but we let each other it just becomes these these

06:10 bombastic ridiculous bouquets of expletives

06:13 And you know if it isn't going our way so we can we can vent with each other in the good times and the bad

06:18 Of course, yes, you've got to celebrate them both and we wish you great success this season with the show and congratulations
