00:00 It really is a trauma bond whether that be a good trauma or a bad trauma.

00:04 It's interesting, there's such like a like weird sister dynamic.

00:09 Like I personally never knew these three, right?

00:13 But like I feel like in the first ten minutes of being on set of the reunion,

00:17 we all were like, "Alright, we've been through the same thing."

00:19 Like we all can relate in a way.

00:21 It's a trauma bond.

00:22 It really is a trauma bond whether that be a good trauma or a bad trauma.

00:26 You know what I mean?

00:27 It doesn't necessarily mean it's a negative thing but it,

00:30 there's just such like a, what's the word?

00:33 Like a familiarity?

00:35 Yeah.

00:36 There it is.

00:37 Yeah.

00:38 It's a really strong foundation.

00:40 And like I was saying yesterday, like I could go ten years without seeing any of them

00:44 and I'd see them and I'd be like, "Oh, nothing has changed."

00:47 Because when you go through something like that,

00:51 you create such a strong relationship.

00:53 But you just completely understand each other, you know?

00:55 Like I've seen all--well, not you, but like clips of you.

00:58 Everyone at their worst, everyone at their best,

01:01 and you just have--you understand people in such a deep way

01:04 that you don't really get to experience a lot of people.

01:07 So--

01:08 And something that nobody--unless you've been in it and done what we've done,

01:12 you don't get it.

01:13 So it's something that we're always going to have.

01:16 You know, we're always going to be like that.

01:17 We know what each other went through.

01:18 And our parents are the same way, I feel like too.

01:20 Our moms are the same way.

01:21 Same, exactly.

01:22 They're like high school girls.

01:23 They call each other with everything.

01:25 They're like, "Oh my god, I just got a new car."

01:27 And I'm like, "Oh, no, no, no, no."

01:29 Yeah, it's just--it's a family thing.

01:31 I mean, I feel like we even talk to each other's mothers.

01:33 People don't even realize how close we are.

01:36 So I always think it's funny when people write so many negative things

01:39 about us and our relationships with each other

01:41 because we are all so close

01:43 and everything that other people say doesn't matter

01:45 because we've gone through so much together.

01:47 Our moms, us, everything.

01:49 10, 15 extra moms, extra sisters, even their dads.

01:53 I'm like, "Well, you're basically like my second dad."

01:55 Their brothers are like my brothers.

01:57 It's just a really big, dysfunctional but amazing family.

02:00 Well, that isn't it yet.

02:01 Emphasis on dysfunctional.

02:03 It's hard to talk about the stuff that we went through.

02:06 What do you guys think she was like in prison?

02:08 I've cried more today than I have on most episodes of Dance Mom.

02:11 See, I can't say the same.

02:12 Why are you always crying?

02:14 It was actually really therapeutic.

02:16 It made me realize I should probably go to therapy.

02:18 [laughter]

02:20 But it was really incredible because I got to look back as an adult

02:24 who is like a fully formed human,

02:28 and I have my own identity now, so I look back,

02:30 and I'm honestly just really grateful.

02:32 I can't stop expressing my gratitude

02:34 because every moment that I experienced on the show

02:37 shaped who I am today, and I'm really proud of who I am today,

02:40 and that wouldn't have happened without that particular competition

02:44 that was kind of manufactured between us.

02:47 And the negativity and the positivity and all of it,

02:50 so it brought up a lot of emotions,

02:53 and I think I kind of finally realized what it is about the experience

02:56 that was so difficult for me,

02:58 but half of the battle is just kind of recognizing

03:01 what you need to work through,

03:03 and then working through it is a little bit easier.

03:05 I feel like as a kid I was pretty naive.

03:07 I was not actively aware that it was happening.

03:10 I was kind of always just trying to prove myself to my dance teacher.

03:13 I was always like, "Why don't you like me? I don't get it. I'm doing my best.

03:16 Why do you not want me to win so badly?"

03:18 So it wasn't until I was an adult that I was like,

03:21 "Oh, that was out of my control."

03:23 I could have done the absolute best job in the world,

03:25 and it still wouldn't have been enough,

03:27 so there's nothing I can do about that.

03:29 That's more so about other people than it is about me.

03:32 I think we're all on our own journeys,

03:34 and so whether we're all ready to come together

03:36 and talk about what we went through or not,

03:38 we're still kind of working through it.

03:40 It's up to our own discretion, but the girls here,

03:42 we were clearly ready to face some things,

03:44 so we worked through that.

03:46 I mean, there's not really any fights we had to resolve

03:48 because we don't really fight, but yeah.

03:51 I think--yeah, I mean, we still keep in touch,

03:54 and I see her occasionally, and like I said,

03:56 she's still one of my sisters as well.
