00:00 Cease fire now! Cease fire now! Cease fire now!
00:09 Let's die, you make us cry!
00:11 All our children, sons and daughters!
00:16 No more hiding, no more fear!
00:18 Yes, if you have any issues, please.
00:24 We are here to stay. We will not give up. We won't rest till you divest.
00:30 There is also, we've seen the stories of the scholasticide that's going on in Gaza right now.
00:36 There are no universities left in Gaza.
00:39 And, you know, we as students, we feel for those students who are saying,
00:45 "I was in my third year of university and now I'll never graduate.
00:49 Now my house has been bombed, my university has been bombed."
00:53 And even just as human beings, I honestly, I think the question is,
00:59 "How are more people out here?"
01:02 Destruction of our universities.
01:04 So in all those ways...
01:08 I've seen, in like researching and learning about my own personal family history
01:14 regarding like the Korean War, where 20% of the DPRK's population
01:19 was just eliminated through like a super aggressive firebombing campaign.
01:22 So this feeling like this history is repeating itself,
01:26 and I can't just take that standing down.
01:29 I need to honor the history that I myself come from as well by taking a stand, right?
01:35 By saying no to this, that we must fight for each other to stop genocide,
01:42 to stop the senseless killing of people, to stop crimes against humanity.
01:46 So we're a coalition of tons of different organizations from all across Stanford.
01:50 And in terms of getting materials from all across the Bay Area.
01:53 And we're here once again, fighting for our demands,
01:58 for divestment, for justice for the Palestinian people,
02:01 and for safety of the Palestinian students at Stanford and around Stanford.
02:05 Today is day 203 of genocide for Palestinians in Gaza.
02:19 And nearly 75 years of colonial violence from the apartheid state of Israel.
02:24 And immense anguish for Palestinians everywhere.
02:27 If you are not focusing on the brutal genocide currently happening in Gaza
02:31 and the apartheid system Palestinians are living under in all of occupied Palestine,
02:36 we implore you to do so.
02:38 It is important to remember why we are here.
02:41 Our encampment here at Columbia, and encampments everywhere around the country,
02:45 are part of a larger movement for Palestinian liberation.
02:48 As of now, there are no assurances from the university that no NYPD
02:53 or any other law enforcement, including the National Guard,
02:56 will be brought into the university.
02:58 The students and other protesters are planning on staying here
03:09 until all of the demands have been met,
03:11 which include divesting from anything that has to do with the genocide,
03:16 and also divulging, opening the books, saying what is the funding for this school you go to.
03:23 [Chanting]
03:32 [Silence]
