00:15It feels like the cover rollout has been successful for NBA 2K this year, obviously, with Damian
00:20Lillard and then Zion, but, you know, it felt right that they would do a Kobe cover this
00:26year.
00:27Yeah, for sure.
00:28I think it was the worst-kept secret in the business.
00:31Like every basketball fan expected this, but I think they did a great job of honoring Kobe
00:36and his legacy.
00:37The video game is cool, but I kind of want a poster of, like, the current gym version
00:41with the number 8 up in my apartment, but not sure if my fiancé is going to let me
00:45have it.
00:47But most importantly, I haven't read any press releases about it, but I hope some of the
00:53money made from this is given to the Mamba and Mamba Cedar Foundation.
00:58So I think that's something Kobe will want.
00:59Yeah, Jarrell, it feels like a collector's item.
01:02Now, Melissa, obviously you've covered this closely since the tragic loss of Kobe Bryant
01:06and Gianna and everyone in that crash.
01:09How do you think this particular, you know, moment will be received?
01:14I think it will be received very well.
01:16I don't think that there's enough that we can do this year to honor Kobe Bryant.
01:20Obviously, he was such a monumental figure, five-time NBA champion over his 20 seasons
01:25with the Lakers, 18-time All-Star, somebody who is so beloved, somebody who is so influential,
01:31somebody whose mentality is still talked about to this day.
01:34So this is just another beautiful way to honor Kobe.
01:37Yeah, I mean, it's been a wild 2020, but we still remember that we lost a legend in Kobe
01:45Bryant at the start of the year.
