00:00We're still waiting on baseball season, but we're still looking at the Texas Rangers.
00:05Chris Halleck, I got to ask you, when you look at the Rangers roster currently, you're
00:10only as strong as your weakest link.
00:12We've heard this before.
00:14What is the Texas Rangers weakest link when it comes to their position groups?
00:18There's there's a lot of unknowns on the team, and I'd say just in general, that is their
00:23weakest just attribute.
00:26But if you're looking at one position, I'm going to say first base, just because Ronald
00:30Guzman, as good as he is defensively, he still has a lot to prove with the bat at the major
00:34league level.
00:36They brought in Greg Bird to compete with him at spring training, and we did get a long
00:40enough look to see what those guys would look like.
00:43They got to play in games, they got to do a lot of VP against their fellow Rangers pitchers.
00:49Nobody really took the bull by the horns.
00:51As a matter of fact, they were going to have Todd Frazier, who's slated to be their everyday
00:54third baseman.
00:55They were going to have him start taking grounders at first because of his experience at first
01:00base.
01:02But because of that, because nobody took the bull by the horns, that's not a great sign.
01:08So I'm going to say first base is their weakest link right now.
01:11The potential is there for both Greg Bird and for Ronald Guzman, but without anybody
01:16really stepping out like Isaac Hunter-Falefa did, who forced the Rangers' hand and making
01:21them give him more playing time, with that not happening, to me, it's the biggest question
01:26mark on the team for sure.
01:28And we're not just talking about the weakest position groups, we also talked about the
01:31strongest and you have to check out InsideTheRangers.com to go find that video.
01:39Sweet!
