00:04There are a lot of famous ballparks in baseball,
00:07but which one is the best?
00:08Our MLB staff ranked them, including Stephanie Afstein.
00:11Stephanie, you had Camden Yards, number one?
00:14Yeah, to me, that's, as I said,
00:16I think that's the platonic ideal of a ballpark.
00:18It's got all of the,
00:20it looks kind of like a Fenway and a Wrigley,
00:22one of these old jewel box stadiums,
00:24but it also has seats designed to fit a 21st century human.
00:29It doesn't have the bad sight lines.
00:30I think it's sort of the best way
00:32you could update a ballpark.
00:34Yeah, I mean, I lived in Maryland,
00:35went to school at UMD.
00:37I agree, it's a great ballpark.
00:38Problem is it doesn't have a baseball team, really.
00:41Well, that's true,
00:42but they do have great crab cakes at concessions,
00:44so you can go up with a pretty nice night there.
00:47Do you like the ballparks that were designed in the past,
00:49the Wrigley Fields, and not the newer ones,
00:52like, say, the renewed Yankee Stadium?
00:56Yeah, I like the history.
00:57I like the idea that Ted Williams played there.
01:00I think Yankee Stadium could have been,
01:03could have sort of worked into that,
01:06but it feels a little bit soulless,
01:07and I think a lot of the new ballparks feel that way.
01:10Yeah, the old ones have that character in them.
01:13Stephanie, appreciate your time, as always.
01:16Thanks for having me.
