The film features Hou Yanxi portraying a tutoring teacher who leads mischievous students, including Wu Jianhe and Qiu Yitai, through their naive teenage years. Last year, they received a subsidy of 15 million yuan. The entire film was produced as a tribute to their late mentor, director Chen Junzhi, who had previously worked as a tutor at Blue Zhenglong's tutoring class four years ago. In addition to serving as a producer, Chen Junzhi also took on a role in the film.

影片以侯彦西饰演的补习班老师为首，带领顽皮的学生巫建和、邱以太等人经历懵懂的青春期，去年获得1千5百万元辅导金；全片系因4年前，曾任蓝正龙补习班导师的导演陈俊志猝逝，他决定当导演拍片纪念恩师，担任监制外也轧一角演出。
