00:00It was hot outside, we had a good day, we got a lot of healthy guys back.
00:04And we figured out what we had to do better, we had to get better effort.
00:07But execution wise, I thought we executed really well.
00:10Collectively, we felt good.
00:11We've been changing a lot of guys around, getting some new guys in there.
00:15And we feel good as a group, we feel like we're interchangeable.
00:18And we're running smooth right now.
00:20And once we hit bumps, we'll figure those out.
00:22But right now, we feel good together.
00:23Pat Lighton, he's really stepped up from his injuries and
00:27come back really strong.
00:28I would also say Grant Barton is probably one of the biggest contributors.
00:34As a freshman, he's gonna be a really good football player.
00:37He pays a lot of attention to detail and he's gonna be really good.
00:40We just had a lot of unknowns, we don't really know what's going on.
00:43We have three guys running at quarterback right now.
00:45So we're excited just to get out here and see what we got.
00:48And we came out, we boomed with a 12 play drive for a touchdown.
00:52So and that kind of got that tempo set and that energy started.
00:56Deion ran through people today.
00:58He ran hard, he didn't hesitate and he followed our guys.
01:01We created those holes for him and he ran, he had energy and he wanted it today.
01:05Run sets up the pass, when we're able to establish the run,
01:08we can do a lot more in the pass game.
01:10Get our legs back underneath us, but once we open up that run, pass opens up and
01:14then we'll hit you with another run, it just opens up.
01:18Main difference between the two is your reads, where I'm looking and
01:21stuff like that.
01:21You gotta be a little less athletic at guard and be a little more powerful and
01:26a little more finesse at tackle, but still staying powerful.
01:28So technique, reads and overall just overcoming fatigue.
01:34They're a little different from both guard and tackle, but they feel good.
01:37I think it gives everybody the intention to learn other positions and
01:44pay more attention to detail schematically instead of just the position.
01:47So we're not focusing on who do I block, we're focused on, okay,
01:50how's this play running?
01:51What's the concept of it?
01:53And collectively focusing on center guard, tackle, and not just your position.
01:58If I'm playing left guard, I'm not focusing only on left guard,
02:00I'm not focusing only on left tackle, I'm gonna focus on the entire group.
