Duke's DJ Steward: Who has the best shoe game on the team?

Freshman guard DJ Steward discusses which veterans have impressed him the most and which player has the best shoe game on Duke's team.

00:00Oh definitely like the character of the team we have a lot of people that they

00:08show emotion out there on the court positive guys there's a lot of players

00:13that smile where they play and just just great guys overall and we're just gonna

00:18be I know we're gonna play together as one and then just come together for a

00:21common goal. Matt Hurt and also Jago but I'll speak on Matt Hurt first

00:27Matt Hurt is a really good player he's definitely gotten a lot better

00:32according to what Coach K has said and he's just an amazing shooter an amazing

00:37scorer and I'm really excited to see what he does this year and Jago has

00:41really been leading for us as well really defending handling the ball

00:46without having any turnover so he's been really big for us as well and he's also

00:49been like pretty much leading me on the court and telling me where to go and

00:53just letting me know how Duke's gonna be and how we're gonna play.

00:58Wendell his shoe game is extremely crazy and like his first day coming in to the

01:07Washington Duke it was just like a pile of shoes just stacked up when he was

01:12bringing it in I was like wow I like I had no clue that we could bring that

01:15many shoes and clothes but it was just amazing to see but no not at all I'm

01:20willing to do whatever it takes to get out there on the court. I actually don't

01:25think there'll be conflict at all I think people are gonna make sacrifices

01:29at the end of the day for the team being and you know we our goal as everyone is

01:36just to win and whatever that takes we're just gonna go out there and win

01:40and play together as one.
