00:00 Is that C for Charles or Caitlin? Charles. Charles for yeah. Or Crystal. It'd be Crystal.
00:09 True. Don't tell her. The septum piercing is for Crystal. Yeah. True. True. I just chatted
00:16 with her. So it'll be good. I am a big fan of this show. I'm so excited for everyone
00:23 to get to watch it. And I especially love, obviously, Charles and Edwin's relationship.
00:31 So going over to you, Jaden, I just wanted to ask if you had a favorite time on set with
00:37 working with George. Every single scene that we got to film together. Me and George were
00:44 fortunate enough to pretty much be in the same, like most of the same scenes. We were
00:50 in the same car every single day. So I don't know about on set, but I really loved our
00:56 travel to set in the morning. We would stop off at a Starbucks, get coffee. We'd always
01:01 travel in and out together. Yeah. That was literally like our thing. Yeah. Part of the
01:05 process. I think if either of us came in on our own, it was like, it would ruin the equilibrium
01:10 for the whole day. I mean, that's it. You can really see that we were joint at the hip
01:16 from the start. So I love that. George, was it the same for you? Just all the little moments?
01:22 Yeah, I think so. You know, I felt I felt really anchored and shielded by Jaden. I mean,
01:31 I still do that even off camera. But I think I really enjoyed in episode seven, we've got
01:36 to film the origin story of Edwin and Charles. And I really enjoyed that because, you know,
01:41 we've been filming for a few months and we knew each other inside out as Jaden and George
01:45 and as Charles and Edwin. So getting to play scenes and the way we filmed it, it was quite
01:50 frantic, but it was really, really fun. It was like seven little vignettes. And that
01:57 was that was really fun. Richard Spade Jr. absolutely crushed that episode. Shout out
02:02 to him. I love that. I did love that episode as well. It's always fun just getting those
02:07 little flashbacks. There's so much story that we get to really learn about these characters,
02:13 which is always fun. And just going back to relationships, George, I have to ask what
02:18 it was like being seduced by Lucas Cage, because I just I feel like that would be a moment,
02:24 honestly.
02:25 Yeah, well, Caitlin, I'll tell you, it was a moment. You know, I'd already we'd already
02:31 shot the pilot at that point. So I already felt like I had the essence of Edwin and I
02:35 knew I knew what he how he moved and, you know, how he kind of yeah, how he existed,
02:41 I suppose. And then the beginning of episode two, he obviously has that interaction with
02:46 the Cat King. And as Edward, it was obviously very shocking. And I think even for me, I
02:51 was a little bit taken aback because I was so used to filming scenes that were procedural
02:56 and very much not intimate. But Lucas is great. I love Lucas. And he's an absolute joy to
03:07 get to act with.
03:09 He really steps into that character. I was I was so impressed. I love I love his work
03:14 before, but I was like, I feel like this was made for him. Truly. And the show is just
03:19 so wonderfully supernatural. But did you have a favorite case to work on for each of you?
03:27 Mine I think was the case of the two dead dragons in episode five. Yeah, because it's
03:31 the first time, you know, Edwin and Charles have been pin dropped into not just Port Townsend,
03:36 but America. You know, it's a new environment for them. And it's the first time you get
03:41 to see Edwin around peers of his own, you know, of his own age who exist in the present
03:47 day. And that was really, really fun as an actor. But I also love that case because,
03:52 you know, even though it's a really tragic case, I think towards the end of the episode,
03:57 there's a real moment of connection between the characters and Edwin experiences a real
04:03 epiphany when it comes to Charles.
04:05 I just want to give a shout out to the scene in five with Twitchy Richie. It was one of
04:10 the first times you really got to see Edwin and Charles interact with the real life. Like
04:16 remember the bit with the scissors where he makes the scissors walk and where Charles
04:20 like put Frozen to the ground. I love like filming that whole scene. For me personally,
04:26 I think I'm gonna have to shout out episode eight, just because I got to have my Harry
04:31 Potter Chamber of Secrets moment fighting the snake with a sword. It's not every day
04:36 you get to do that. So yeah, and I think that's the that's the penultimate point of Charles's
04:42 journey. That if he's wondering if he's a good guy or a bad guy, if he's a villain or
04:47 a hero, I mean, I think only heroes go down to the magic void and kill the snake.
04:55 I didn't know there was a question of if he was a hero. That's interesting. I just always
05:00 saw that way. I mean, and I love what you said about just like the ghosts interacting
05:08 because I constantly forgot that you were ghosts. And then you'd see Crystal alone.
05:12 I was like, Oh God, she's always talking about like, you are so good at just disappearing
05:23 and being a ghost. I have to ask, I mean, your characters exist in different eras, obviously.
05:31 So did you do any research to kind of prepare for how that was going to look and act?
05:36 Yeah, we both did. I think we both researched into our individual eras. For sure. We had
05:43 a lot of discussions with the heads of department on the show. So our head of hair for the pilot,
05:49 Lauren Carroll, she had this huge book just full of Victorian hairstyles. And we basically
05:56 just got to pick one, which is really fun.
05:59 Everyone made it really easy for us. All the HODs, they were so collaborative and they
06:03 did 90% of the work for us, really. They kind of embodied us into these eras just by look
06:10 itself, you know?
06:11 Yeah, they sculpt the world around us and we kind of come in last minute.
06:15 Yeah.
06:16 Just roll up, get to be there. Love that. Jada, do you know how many times you say 'brills'
06:23 in the show?
06:24 I would love a counter. Like if they're like Netflix, Netflix, can we take a picture?
06:30 I think they've done it before.
06:32 I mean, that's a great pitch to Netflix. Let's count how many 'brills' Charles says in the
06:38 series.
06:39 Maybe aces, but I think 'brills' might be in the second.
06:41 What do you prefer, Caitlin, 'brills' or aces?
06:45 I think 'brills'. I do.
06:47 I think I do too.
06:48 I think it's more satisfying to say, isn't it? 'Brills'.
06:51 And I think it's a couple of 'brills' in the series as well.
06:54 Does it?
06:55 Mm-hmm.
06:56 Oh, wow.
06:57 She doesn't even know.
06:58 Yeah, I've forgotten the whole thing.
07:00 That's 'brills'. Saved you one time on the tube. You won't leave either.
07:04 Oh, yeah.
07:05 See, he does the one for both of us, Caitlin.
07:09 Not true.
07:10 Now my goal in life is to get a 'brills'. I'll wait. Don't say it just to say it after.
07:15 Okay.
07:16 And just to close this off, what are you most excited to see from fans online after they
07:22 watch the show?
07:23 Well, I suppose I'm excited for the show really just to come out for people to see this wacky,
07:32 whimsical, wonderful world that we've created.
07:37 It's been a real labor of love, this show, and all the creatives on it have done such
07:43 exceptional work. It truly is a unique show, and I just hope fans, yeah, respond to it.
07:50 I'm just really excited to see who everyone's favorite characters are because I think there's
07:54 so many characters that have all these amazing things about them.
07:59 And weirdoes.
08:00 Absolutely. I think everyone will definitely have a favorite. I mean, I love Nico just
08:10 because she's an Aquarius like me, I have to say.
08:15 You know, everyone's-
08:16 She's got Nico colors on right now. I mean, a little bit of a spoiler to episode eight,
08:19 but yeah.
08:20 Yeah, there we go. I should have told her.
08:24 Well, thank you all so much. That's all the time I have.
08:29 Fembrills.
