00:01 but you cannot just like
00:03 stay away and not do anything.
00:05 The Bollard men, two heroic shoppers
00:08 who used bollards to try to stop
00:10 Joel Couchy from attacking fellow
00:12 customers at Bondi Westfield,
00:13 have been identified as two French
00:16 migrants.
00:17 Trady's Silas Despro and Damon
00:19 Giroux worked together to help
00:21 contain the offender after Couchy's
00:23 stabbing spree in Sydney's eastern
00:24 suburbs left six people dead.
00:26 We saw him going down,
00:28 so we follow him from the top,
00:30 try to maybe like throw the bollard
00:32 to him.
00:32 Footage of Damien at the top of an
00:34 escalator soon went viral after the
00:36 attack, where it's reported he was
00:38 preventing Couchy from reaching a
00:40 children's play area.
00:41 The two Frenchmen are said to have
00:43 guided police officer Amy Scott to
00:45 Couchy's location, where she
00:47 ultimately brought his rampage to an
00:48 end with a well-placed shot.
